| infection unknown? So I took Bruiser to the vet over the weekend, some of you guys already know that, and the vet called me today and says liver looks good kidneys look good but he does have an infection go ahead and keep him on the antibiotics. I ask her where the infection was she said she didn't know.....? Does this sound right?

YT 500 Club Member | Does he have any symptoms? With us we can tell whats going on. Like hurts when we pee (bladder infection) sore throat (strep) but dogs can not tell us so it would be hard to find the infection. So is he showing any symptoms> |

| Since he stated the antibiotics, he's been fine. Prior to that, he was lathargic. And dry heaving. Not eating, sleeping and hypoglycemic.

| Did it come back with a high white blood cell count and is that why she is saying there is an infection?

| I would have it tested again after he is done with the antibiotics because a high white blood cell count can mean other things too but my hopes are just an infection the antibiotics can clear up.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | It can feel odd to not know where an infection is, but it does happen sometimes - the body can be fighting something that you can't discern. The WBC should be rechecked after the meds are done to see if it's resolved.
