| Do Yorkies lose all their teeth and get a whole new set? I have not ever had to worry about this before with my big dogs.

Avery is exactly five months old and has lost four teeth on the bottom and one on top! He looks like Gabby Hayes! I wish he'd let me look better, but his permanent teeth are already coming in.

Oscar, my six month old just finished most of his teething. He lost his last three baby teeth in the last day. He does have double canines on the bottom though. They don't affect his bite, and he doesn't seem to mind, but they sure do look funny!

Kelsey, I acted the same way! I've been so envious of others who have found teeth. Now we have 2. A single point and another 3-pronger. Wish I had a good yorkie anatomy book to look them up. It was so funny to see Bodhi tossing one around last night like he plays with his kibble. Does anyone know how to clean these things so they don't grow mold in the scrapbook? Should I use the vinegar method, like with wishbones?

Maddie lost most of her small baby teeth within a few days time at about 5 months. I swear, she lost them one day and the new ones came in the next. She lost the big canine ones at about 6 months, so when she was spayed, didn't have to have any teeth pulled. Of all those teeth...I never found one!

My little Peanut is almost 5 months old and he has lost all his bottom front teeth and most of the top front ones. It hasn't seemed to bother him too much, but his gums looks a little red when the teeth first fall out. One of the Yorkie books that I have says that they should begin losing their their puppy teeth around 4 months or so and are usually done by around 6 months. I just wish I had found some of Peanut's teeth for his scrapbook! FYI, the vet says that they often swallow their teeth when they lose them, so don't be concerned if you don't find any. Hope this helps!
