Hello all the way from Mexico! 3 Attachment(s) Hey!!, my name is Fer (like fair) and I'm new in the site and just wanted to say hello :) I'm mommy to Rambo a 14 week old Yorkie Biewer. I do have a couple of questions, Rambo chews everything in site! He even tried to chew on the wall a couple of hours ago! He has tons of toys so I don't know what to do! I did put some vinegar in the edges of my furniture because he tried to chew there too, but I don't want my whole house to smell like vinegar!:D And do you know if his ears will stand up again? When I first got him both of his ears were up, after a couple of days one went down and the next week both of them were! Here are some pictures of the little one :) I'm so excited to learn more about this awesome dogs! :D |
Welcome to YT, your puppy is beautiful, we have several members that have Biewer's. For his ears, keep as much hair off of them as possible, like have the ears shaved or trimmed very short, the weight of the hair may be pulling them down, their hair goes back very fast. Other member that went through this will share their experience with you. All yorkies are notorious for chewing. You may have to crate her if you cannot supervise her, keep her space limited, give plenty of chew toys, she's at that teething stage. Again others going through this will offer up suggestions and advise. |
Hi and welcome to YT :)! Your new baby is adorable!! For chewing, all I know to do is to continuously redirect them to one of their toys/chews. Do you have a Kong? If not, I'd try one as it may be something that can entice him away from the wall since it'll contain food/treats. Most likely, no, the ears will probably not stand on their own. Rather - see this thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pup...-stand-up.html |
Hi and welcome to YT and the world of Biewers. For his ears have your groomer take off most of hair off his ears. Make sure you are feeding him a lot of calcium-rich foods. If all else fails, you will need to begin taping his ears. Ears frequently fall when puppies are teething. As far as teething goes, the kong is a great product. Also my puppies all do well with long bully sticks--no rawhide. I've given puppies pacifiers and those items you give a young baby that you freeze for teething. Let me know how things are going. |
If they were standing they will again they are just going down because hes teething. Welcome by the way |
