Bounce does fight me some over drying his head, but I am able to get it done. lol |
Rowdy is sooo funny. My husband and I "double team" him for his bath and dry. My husband holds him and I use the dryer. Rowdy lays like a long sausage right where my husbands legs meet (while he is sitting down) and Rowdy buries his eyes into the towel (which is over my husband's lap) so the first thing I do is dry is back and the top of his head. Then my husband hold him up for me to dry his belly and his beard. He definitely does not like the dryer in his eyes so he turns his head to the side and I try to cover his eye and dry that side of his beard, and, and then we repeat on the other side. |

Yes the cheap one is fine and I have found that some dryers make a sound that seems to bother the dogs. That may be why some object so strongly to having it near their ears. |
its hard...but watch out...i created a bad hair day! I accidently blow dried snickers head in a downward fashion....i created a white part and his hair went straight down. He looked soooooo silly. |
Mine tolerate it with the head being the least favorite. I manage to get it done without too much of a fight though. It's funny cause they seem to like the hairdryer...whenevery I'm drying my hair, I hold my head upside down...they aways run up one at a time and wait for me to blow them in the face for a minute...then they run away!...it's cute! |
She-Ra LOVES the hair dryer!! She can be completly dry, in another room, laying on the couch...let me dry my hair...baaaam...here she comes!!! |
Well, just to be different, I never blow my babies. I do them assembly line. Now that it is cold, I turn on the bathroom heat lamp, capture everyone in the bathroom then wash one at a time. Dry, release to dry on towels and be attacked by siblings. After next one is bathed and dried, I dry and brush the first. I rebrush each one after the previous and by the time we are done, usually three are dry and done and we move to the bedroom where I continue to dry and brush the others until everyone is dry and fluffy. I think we are down to about 1.5 hours now. |
I don't ever completely dry with the blow dryer. I am afraid it will dry the skin out and have itching problems. I cover the eyes and snout with my hand and keep the blow dryer moving so as not to get it too hot on them. This is on Buckeye. Ahia won't have anything to do with the blow dryer. I didn't make her sit for it when she was little so now she don't want it at all. she does the run and dry method. LOL. the babies on the other hand are learning to get the blow dryer used on them. and after we get mostly dry i wrap themin a soft blankie and hand them to my husband who holds them until they are dry. It is his quiet time with them. |
Twinkie isn't too fond of having her face blow dried, she tries to bury her face in anything she can. I put the heat and speed on the lowest settings and then cover her eyes and keep the hair dryer moving, then she doesn't mind too much. |
I finally got up the nerve to try blowing Dennis’s hair and he was pretty good. He did not care to have his face blown but I shot him from the back while he looks for cats and squirrels out the window and that works to distract him as I occasionally move the dryer closer to his face. |
Mia hates the blow dryer she runs the minute i bring it out.She doesn't mind brushing at all or having her hair put up ... |
