I am happy to hear that the situation appears to be headed in the right direction though. Ultimately, I think we all just want the contract to be honored and this matter resolved. :animal36 |
Please accept my deepest sympathies, first, for your loss of your new puppy, Cash, followed by the battle for honor of the contract, and justice for the breach. I hope all is resolved to your satisfaction. Hugs |
Maybe I missed it, but I 'think' it is a geographical 'fact' that Ontario, Canada could be a 'day trip' and certainly from parts of Wisconsin. I have traveled similar distances by motorcycle and without even rushing. ;) I am not trying to offend...just trying to understand. I truly hope for amicable and honorable resolution. This is a very sad situation. Hugs |
Its coming to an end This is Meagan. We just got off the phone with the breeder and I am happy to say she is honoring her contract and also refunding us the cost of the autopsy. This is has been an emotional and trying time and I thank you all for support. You all cared and shared. Giving advise to help us cope with our loss. |
So happy for you this has finally ended and breeder will honor her contract. Also happy YT was able to assist you in this dilemma. I will pray your next baby will be a healthy one and give you years of joy, laughter and love. |
Is that reimbursement include a silence agreement as well? I'm glad they finally lived up to their end, but with the pressure and all....what choice did they have...really. In the end this breeder and her mouthpiece showed me all the reasons no one should ever deal with them....stay tuned for my "formal" review of this breeder.... |
Very happy for you and thanks to diane who came threw . |
lynzy I am not sure I understand what you mean about a silence agreement? |
It means she will honor her agreement but you are no longer allowed to talk publicly about her organization |

I am glad it is working out. So sad you lost the pup. I hope you have no issues with your next puppy. |
First of all I am so very sorry for your loss. RIP little Cash! I pray there aren't other siblings facing the same illness with unaware new owners??? So sad! |

IMHP, this is a bad breeder, it took OP to turn to YT and YT members coming to the aid of the OP. This put a fire under the Mediator (Jen) butt. Why did zook4mud have to come to this length to have contract honored. I don't care about breeders so called illness, you get sick you still have to pay your bills, pay your mortgage / rent, so pay the buyer or do we now call buyers "adopters" which ever, honor the contract that the breeder herself created. What about the rest of the litter little cash came from? what about the breeding pair that produced a liver shunt baby? I have waited for the conclusion of buyer vs breeder for refund of genetic illness that caused the death of a puppy that died 4 weeks after purchased. Now I can address this breeders tactics with my Facebook friends & family that live in NY, NJ, CT, PA, MD, N, FL.. They will spread the word and tactics of this breeder. I do not CARE if breeder is refunding purchase price and autopsy cost, look at what it took to be refunded. |

Diane can now get back to business, after all this disruption must have impacted her bottom line and caused her some financial set backs. It's now full speed ahead on that production line. (smh) |

Yes, it will be interesting to see if she continues to breed the 2. From the contract the OP put on here the mom and dad are Pebbles (4 lb. 16 oz.) and Enzo (2 lb. 6 oz.). Obviously bred to make tiny babies and to charge a ridiculous amount of money. Hopefully she does the right thing. |

Now that you have found Yorkie Talk, I hope you will stick around and enjoy some of the good that this site provides. We are just a bunch of people who adore Yorkies, and love to share all things "Yorkie". |
some more insight Chachi - Thank you for your clarification on the "silence" question and the answer is no. There is no amount of money that would keep me silent. I am not that kind of person. Diane took full responsibility for her actions (lack there of) and her harsh words. She admitted she let her emotions get the best of her as she had herself just received news of her own health concerns. She doesn't blame me for the actions I took to have this resolved. To Joyce who asked about siblings that too is a concern and since I have an almost 2 year old from her out of the same parents I cant help but pray she lives a healthy life and that I couldn't possibly go through this again..... I offered my opinion on retiring the parents and trying to identify who carries the gene but I didn't push it when I realized she had her own opinion on that. Mauigirl - I will most certainly be continuing my relationship with YT and I don't think this would have been possible without all of you! I will let you know when my check clears! |

For peace of mind, I would probably have a BAT test on your other little one to rule out a shunt or PVH-MVD. If there is any indication of slight liver disease, you can treat it with a different diet. I'm sure you are very educated on PSS and PVH, but I have attached a link for others. I hope your heart heals and that you find another little one who is healthy. He will be a lucky little boy to be loved by you. http://www.vet.utk.edu/clinical/sacs...2013-04-10.pdf |

Im so sorry for you loss |
Thanks Thank you for the suggestion on the BAT test. I will talk to my vet. |
I just read this thread and am heartbroken at your loss, "Zook". While "happy" things will be resolved, I'm sure that emotion isn't really what you feel. There is no "happy" when you have lost a love, and now have the additional worry for the health of your other baby. I am shocked and in a state of admiration at the power of this forum to get this issue resolved for these "yorkie'rents". |
Sorry about Cash and although I am in NO way agreeing with the Breeder it sounds like she simultaneously got devastating news and acted based on a boatload of emotions that sometimes tragedy breeds (no pun here). Her behavior may not be the person she is. I don't know because I don't know her, but I have seen people who are blindsided w/ their own health issues crumble, act out and then regroup. I am in no way excusing her actions. She should be a woman of her word and do the right thing. It sounds like she was up to her ass in alligators and this news of Cash tipped her over the edge. I am glad that she is resolving this, but the issue of the bloodline and the shunting is worrisome for the puppies born previously including your own pup that you got from her. You obviously had a relationship with her previously and thought she was an upright person and perhaps she is. What happens next will be telling in regards to that. It is good to know that the power of this forum/community helped to get this resolved financially although it will never feel resolved personally dealing with this loss. So sorry. |

HEre is a link about Teddy Bear: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...ver-shunt.html BATs are easy to do and very inexpensive (around $80) . With this breeder, and your recent experience, I would highly recommend it. |
