The necropsy report said: “The gross and histologic findings are consistent with a portosystemic shunt. There was no evidence of a concurrent or infectious disease process within the tissues examined. Such a portosystemic shunt at this early age, combined with poor appetite and insufficient weight gain over weeks as reported in the history, suggests that this is most likely a congenital lesion.” The medical examiner saw the shunt. It's a big vein jutting out where there should be none. |

My respose - Meagan I dont know how to copy and past all of what Diane said but I want to address the information " withheld" or not shared to her during his life. I am reading the vet report right this second and when she said I "dropped" the dog, I did. It was an accident. I had him in my arms trying to open a wipe container to wipe him. That was October 18th. 10 days after he was admitted to the hospital originally and 13 days before he passed. It is not related to his sickness. The vet diagnosis yes was trauma with an injection to help ease any discomfort. I think the key word here is "vet". I obviously took him to be looked at after the incident because yes he was traumatized from falling. If there was any serious injury he would have been kept. Or if I didnt care I wouldnt have taken him right? Say what you want about me dropping the dog but I am the one that has to deal with the fact that i did. to quote the vet " currently he appears fine, looks like the shock is gone. he got the wind knocked out of him apparently. offered him a/d and he ate really well in the room. will give him a metacam injection to pre-empt any achiness." If there was any relation it would be in the autopsy results and its not. If I was trying to hide anything I would have omitted the information when i sent it to her. Also diane, you offered to take him back yes and jason and i both discussed that with you in great depth HOWEVER due to his illness I was not getting him cleared to fly so there for we had no choice but to take this on which we wanted to do because he was ours to care for. I dont want this to turn into a battle btwn diane and I. I came here to share my story and reach her. We did. She messaged us privately last night and we are to be having a conference call tonight. I look forward to talking to her and being able to come on here and tell you all we have come to an agreement. |

You obviously delt with the accident promptly and things happen it does not change the fact the puppy had heriditery issues. It was disturbing but you did rush the baby to the vet. What more could you do. But sounds like she is ready to work things out. Glad for that. Hope it can all be settled and you can get another baby. Im sure your ready to move on. |
I hope this is resolved soon. You have suffered enough losing your puppy. I hope the parents of this pup are taken out of the breeding line, spayed and neutered so others do not have to experience this. |

Jenskwan -- just fyi, we are able to track your IP Addresses and while it does indeed appear that Diane initially registered her account in Wisconsin -- it is clear that *you* are doing all the posting for her from Ontario, Canada. Here I was commending Diane for her open response and willingness to come here when all along it's you posting for her. This is so dishonest. Why are you posting as if you are Diane? Shouldn't Diane speak for her own breeding program? |

I wish Diane would've just posted her experience as herself. Really disappointing and disheartening... |

I just hope she does the right thing by the OP. Her post honestly made me sick to my stomach. Clearly the OP took good care of this puppy. To even mention the dropping of the puppy when he died from PSS is horrible. It's like someone is still trying to blame the purchaser (not adopter :rolleyes: ) for what happened. It also is very disturbing to me that this happened some time ago....and while she can say she was sick .. if she can continue to breed to meet the "demand" , then she can take care of things properly! Just excuses up the backside...none of which I buy. I won't hold my breath, but I am hopeful she does the right thing. |
The additional dishonest practices of Firebrand Yorkies and their friends and associates is really disgusting. Why is it so hard to just be truthful? Give me a break. Stop the deceipt and lying and do the right thing NOW. Refund the price of the sick pup. Interesting, looking back at the posts of Jen and "Diane", writing style is so similar, it should have been more obvious it was one person. I too assume the best, and am surprised when people are dishonest. |

However, our single concern here is not to defend the authenticity of my identity, it is to communicate Firebrand Yorkies' desire to resolve a pending issue with the OP, Zook4mud. The OP has already stated: "She messaged us privately last night and we are to be having a conference call tonight. I look forward to talking to her and being able to come on here and tell you all we have come to an agreement." Any further questions can be PM'd to myself or Diane directly. |
confused I want to thank whomever gave Wyliesmom the tip. I dont really know what to say. Or what to think anymore. I am just trying to digest all this new information and keep my head clear.........................................I feel like laughing to keep myself from crying. |

Riiiight. And to anyone who buys this nonsense, I have a bridge to sell..... To the OP, I would be VERY careful with this conference call tonight. Be prepared for anything. This person seems more interested in rehabbing her name than in doing the right thing. Just MY take on it, of course. |

Will the real Diane please step forward. GOOD WORK ANN |
Extremely shady... I knew the "we" and "our" were slipping out so easily for this Jen character. Will the real Diane Schelach please stand up! OP I would record this "conference call" tonight. |

ohhhh yeah, I 2nd the motion to record, and have plenty of aspirin on hand. Don't forget to ask "is it ok to record this conversation" recorded conversation is not legal without callers approval. iyiyi, I need the aspirin now. |
The spokesperson could be posting for the breeder we dont know for sure so we just have to take her word for it. The important thing is the breeder is going to have communication with the OP we will have to see where it goes from there |

Full disclosure and clarity would have helped if that is the situation. Signing on under another person's account and representing yourself as them, is shady as hell...but not that surprising given the progress of this situation. I hope this social mediaadmin position is not a paid one. As she has done nothing to reflect on firebrand and its breeder in a positive way. And as for her comments about our forum, its members, and their opinions...for a social media admin, she appears to have a very poor understanding of online forums, and clearly has no concept of the scope of website admins to track IP addresses. |

I really tried to keep quiet and read but I need to add that as the breeders "social media representative" she was totally out of line and unethical representing herself as the breeder. OP, I hope you get your money back and I am so sorry you had to go through this terrible experience with Cash. My advice to you is if and when you decide to add another fur baby to the family you come to Yorkie Talk and ask for recommendations on a good breeder (or even a rescue). Side note and just my own personal opinion, I know many small business owners, all use social media as a way of promoting their business. NONE of them have a social media representative. I have worked in Marketing for over 30 years I can tell you that "rule #1 is protecting your brand" when someone is impersonating the business owner/breeder its speak volumes on the whole operation. |
This is interesting. Turns out she breeds and sell cats as well. I would think being so sick, she wouldn't have the times to breed both dogs and cats! Exotic Shorthair Kittens, "Garfield Babies" For Sale! | Mequon | eBay Classifieds (Kijiji) | 25588993 |
Normally I report these things but I'm going to ask admin here please check the IP addresses of the breeder and Diane? As I previously said I was a proofreader and I see very similar styles of "speech" blah blah blah....If I'm wrong I will apologize. Thank You 107Barney for your translations and your wise words... At the end of the day this breeder is going through all this to avoid paying the purchaser....at the end of the day it comes down to the almighty dollar... |

I am late to the party as usual. But I will try to answer this as a show breeder representing only myself and my own opinions. I *abhor* the word used *production* of puppies, what are we selling cars???? In my viewpoint, I only breed when I can at least maintain to the breed standard and have a hopefull chance to improve the breed. I will have a waiting list of potential puppy buyers, maybe not for say a 8 litter size, but at least 1/2 a potential litter has folks on my waiting list. And I kept a few folks on a waiting list for 3years!!!! I spend years studying, raising, showing to Championships in two countries along with working titles on my dogs. Then I do all the breed specific health testing for my dam and make sure it is done for the sire I may choose. For my sires I do the same. It is very likely that most if not all of the litter might be sold as Pet Only dogs. Dogs worthy to be bred are few and far between! But it is a researched hope I have. I will not and will never breed willy nilly. You as the breeder are responsible for bringing into this world healthy puppys, you are also responsible for finding good homes for those pups. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the resources, financial, emotional, and your own health to successfully raise and place these wonderfull beings into good homes. But life can throw curve balls at you at the most un-expected times. And when that happens that you get sick, you certainly don't breed again until you are well. Or you have a plan in place, with a trusted and experienced junior breeder to help you out with the raising and rearing of your puppies, and the *business* of your kennel. With this many females having been bred, this kennel falls under APHIS new regulations and should be licensed........ And now that this has been made public, well if she is in non compliance a complaint can be lodged... I think mayhap Diane is the name of her friend and volunteer. Well Diane you have opened up a serious kettle of fish for your breeder friend, if she has not followed the new regulations. In terms of contract and breach thereof, all I will say is, it is best for the two to talk directly with each other, and avoidance of the issue, never results in good results for the breeder...... I have no idea if the contract is as stipulated (despite a scanned document which may or may not be the actual contract), but the OP laid forth their story very clearly and succinctly. I do hope that this breeder communicates with the parties and comes to an agreed go forward remedy. |
