| Sophie amputation update Hi everyone sophie is home after her surgery today is post op day 4. She had the surgery on monday and came home Tuesday night. She seems to be doing ok they have her on an antibiotic and 2 pain meds. She is moving around ok she stumbles once in a while and I worry because it seems like she can't get herself back up with out a little help from me. I'll be keeping an eye on that. I have her confined to one room so she's not moving to much. She is eating and drinking fine. I just pray she gets better and is back to being her happy self real soon. |

| Hoping for a speedy recovery for Sophie (and you, as I'm sure you could use a reprieve yourself!) I can't imagine this has been an easy road, but I hope you can find comfort in knowing that, thankfully, dogs are very resilient. Fast recovery vibes for Sophie! |

| Glad to see Sophie is home and eating and drinking well. Give her time, just like a human she needs to find her balance after her amputation. The pain meds may also be playing a role in her mobility. Sending a big hug from us.

| Awww. Give that sweet baby a hug from me, too. I agree with the other posters that between meds and her surgery it's probably just going to take a little time for her to find her balance.

| Thank you for all the well wishes. It has been a hard 3 months and yes I am exhausted I've been sleeping on the living room floor with her cuz I don't want to leave her alone at night. but seeing her thrive makes it worth it and hopefully in a few weeks she'll b back to sleeping with her big brother and I'll be back in my bed. |

YT Addict | Awe i know this breaks your heart for her. These babies are so inocent tiny and loving. To see them go threw anything is hard. But what your little girl is dealing with is especially hard. But one thing she will get the best love help and spoiltness a baby can get. |
