Scotts puppy palace in Ark. SCAM!!!!! Well i have give this guy over a year to honor his word. I was impressed he used his business to minister. Thought he could be trusted. So i entered the limited puppy contest winner. He charges 20.00 for a toy for the dog. Then ony 60 people can enter. Well i did oct 11 i was emaied i won. I had lost my doxie of 17 years and really wanted a yorky. So to say i was excited was an under statement. The notice: Scotts Puppy Palace We Have a Puppy Winner!!! Sent Friday, October 11, 2013 View as plaintext Hello Everybody, Hope your all doing well. Our Winner has contacted us! Teresa Howell of Eaton, Colorado is our Limited Entry winner. She is waiting on a Yorkie puppy. Congratulations Teresa! For everyone that purchased a toy, I will be sending those out next week. Thanks so much for trying to win. It was a lot more work with the extra emails and questions but hopefully it was more exciting for everyone. Right away i seen a yorkie and contacted scott. He replied that it had to be one of his puppys. That he should have some in dec. so i waited. December came and he posted yorky puppys. So i contacted him or tried no answer to phone call or text. But i got a text asking if i still wanted a puppy of coarse i told him. He proceeded to tell me the price. I told him i won he said sorry to get your hopes up but these are someone elses. But it was either jan or feb he was to have some. So i waited the month came and he posted more yorkies. I tried to contact i Him with no return response. So samething did i want a puppy again i said yes and got the same reply. This time it would be april. By now im getting annoyed and beginning to wonder if i would get a puppy. April came and no contact from scott. Tried to contact no response. Finally in june he once again texed did i want a puppy. This time the puppies died. I asked him was i going to get a puppy. His response was if i dont go bankrupt. I wrote back did that mean i wouldnt get one. He would not answer. By now i have had it. I told him i was a retired pastor wife and this is not helping his testimony. That he should keep people informed whats going on. (He had two more puppy winners after me) i said you had two other winners after me. That he shouldnt put we had a year to pick. Well he fired back that if eceryone was like me he wouldnt ever give free pups. That its for sinners. That he might loose his business and family. I told him i was sorry. But hed be surprised how people woud understand if he would just keep in touch. That the only reason i kept contacting him was because he said he would have pups. The said i could either wait a couple of months for one or he would take me off his list. I said i would leave him alone. Wed i asked him how his family is and when would i get a puppy. NO RESPONSE. So anyone frequenting here dont trust him. Just wish i could let others know so they wont get there hopes up. I want to believe the best in people. Just figure hes over his head. Any ideas how to get this out there. I realize it was a generous gift but ya dont play with peoples feelings. Just isnt right |
So sorry to hear of such a terrible experience...but I do thank you for making others aware :). |
I am sorry this man raised your hopes. This is from the U.S. Consumer Protection Agency: Quote:

You also can contact your: state attorney general local consumer protection office local media’s call for action lines If the prize promotion came in the mail, report it to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.":thumbup::thumbup: I would send this man a registered letter, return receipt requested, stating I was going to be notifying the above people because you have clearly been targeted by a prize scam. Then notify the people mentioned above, pick one or several! Do NOT let this man get away with this scam!! He will continue if there are no consequences for his behavior. Good luck with this illegal and annoying encounter....this is so upsetting and discouraging.... |
So sorry for this bad experience. I must say, you have a lot more patience than I do! |
I am so sorry. Here is a list of places to report in Arkansas. How to Report Fraud in Arkansas. I would notify them and get his name out. When I was looking for my puppy I did a search of the names on the web. You will be surprised what you can find out. So get his name out there for others to know what kind of person he is. |
You are probably lucky that this man did not keep his word. The health of puppies from places like this is a big gamble. I would hate to think of you suffering a broken heart dealing with or losing a sick puppy. (Puppy Palace is a franchise I believe -- we have one in our town -- sells puppies from mills) Still, this person should not be running contests like this and misleading people. |
I hate doing this to anyone but at the same time people should not treat others like this. I think i have been patient. I would not have kept contacting him but HE SET THE MONTH. He shows the Dec winner but is not showing me or the other person who won. I have tried to see if i could find them on fb but couldent find them. While he was putting me off i could have got my boo while a puppy. But wouldnt cause i thought i was getting the free puppy. Im sorry for typos i use my i pad and it tends to do its own thing and yea its me lol. So as of now i reported him to the better business B. There is a complaint web page where he sent someone a sick dog. I posted there. Then here but also a state fraud or protection agency. Im going to do all of them. I worry about getting a sick puppy now for revenge. Maybe at least he may listen to someone else. Dont offer what you dont have. Keep in touch with winners. I feel bad cause if he really is having problems i dont want to cause more for him. But i have give him a chance to tell me someting and he dont seem to care. Thanks for you responses. |
The only thing worse IMHO than a Pet Store is a Pet Store who gives Puppies as prizes, OMG...Graneet, you lucked out that you didn't get your prize.......glad your reporting him, plaster it on Craigslist as well. Just got totally sick to my stomach..... |
OH I see its not a pet store just an unscrupulous broker type breeder....great... I'm sorry he got your hopes up, but this just isn't the way to get a Yorkie. Reminds me of Tanisha Breton.... |
Yea hes a private breeder says he dont have a lot of dogs says he lists other peoples dogs. He seems to have had a good response from people. Guess im just the one he turned on. You notice there is no way to post to him for public view. |
Teacup Puppies For Sale - Teacup Puppies, Tiny Toy and Miniature Yorkie and Morkie Puppies For Sale He is a broker, a Puppymill receiving broker, I guarantee you. |
Probably its a shame people cannot be trusted these days. |

I saw that some people were giving Yorkies and Maltese pups away at child beauty pageants... Just when you think you've seen/heard it all! |

Yeah just when....some other thoughtless greeder will think of something else...uggghhhhh |
That's terrible! Please keep us updated on how it goes. It is so mean of him to do that to people! |
I think some of that stuff is lack of knowledge. Your backyard breeder doesnt take time to check stuff out. There not involved in shows etc so just do what they do. Not that its right. But this guy has been in business for over ten years. He should know better. Not sure whats going on but hes changed and not reliable. Coarse those who got their puppy will sing his praises. I didnt demand he give me a month when he would have pups he said them. Why when that month came and i saw pups put on line i tried to contact him to no avail. Not till he texted me to sell me one did he talk to me. Till i dare question him two months before the year wAs up did i ask if i was gonna get one. I mean after being told 4 times he would have puppys then when he posted them being told no. And that was only when he texted me to sell the did he make any effort to talk to me at all. Think he forgot who i was. Or pretended to. I realize getting a free one is his option. I also realize its a huge gift. But if you dont have the goods dont offer them period. See i think he does that because it draws more people to his sight in hopes to win. Then when they wait long enough the will see a puppy they love and just go ahead and buy it. |
Well i contacted scott told him to please honor his word. Here is his response and mine to him. Here is scotts reply I know exactly who you are. I will save your email and when I have puppies of my own I will contact you. I will extend the time until this is taken care of. I can't imagine what type of person you are but I will let God judge between you and me. I have already forgiven you but please don't email or text me. Like I said if it's a year from now I will make this right. I do need your full name, address and phone number so I can have it for my records. Just so I know for sure. You spent $20 and got your toy but because of my misfortune of not having puppies soon enough you filed a complaint against me? Do I have the right person? Thanks Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPad My reply: Yes scott you have the right person here is the post where you showed i won and congradulated me. I have since moved to ohio. Scotts Puppy Palace We Have a Puppy Winner!!! Sent Friday, October 11, 2013 View as plaintext Hello Everybody, Hope your all doing well. Our Winner has contacted us! Thanks so much for trying to win. It was a lot more work with the extra emails and questions but hopefully it was more exciting for everyone. Scott all i EVER asked was communication. When i picked a puppy you had one on line in oct and i said i wanted that one. You said then it had to be YOUR puppy and that one wasnt. ( i NEVER ONCE demanded a date for you to give me a puppy). You knew at the times you gave months( dec-jan or feb- april or when i questioned you a couple of months which would be oct. At our last communication when you got mad) that i won a free one. So why did you say those dates then post yorkies and say nope not mine. What was i to think. One of the things that made me even mess with your sight is you showed to be a christian. So i thought i could trust you. When you gave me those months i figured you knew when your females would be having babies. You have been in business long enough to know that. So when you gave me those dates i took you at your word. So if needing to forgive ME makes you feel better im glad. Sorry you feel your the one who has been wronged in this matter. I will send this and your response to the bbb. I only hope you change how you communicate with people. I know if i had offered money you would have stay on top of it. The free puppy offer is also a ligit part of your business to. I will be waiting for my puppy. Until then this will remain with bbb. You wonder why im pushing this to make him accountable[/B] Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPad |
This is not a good breeder! If you do get the dog it will probably be sick and cost you a massive amount of money. Complain and let the word know he is wrong but don't push for and get a pup from him. It will cost you a lot of heartbreak and money. |
From what I'm reading, he's running a raffle across state lines... I believe that also qualifies it as a federal issue... at his site, he places a value on the prize of $1,400 +++ free airfare/shipping. Use that amount, + the value of shipping, when filing your complaints to the appropriate authorities. If you state free puppie, authorities won't know the value. He's using the internet, $20 entrance fee, $1400 prize, if you mailed your $20, USPS may be involved but def still federal because it crosses state lines... FBI comes to mind. If you are at the point that you believe he will never honor his obligation, submit your complaint to the biggest dog on the block. You probably won't receive your pup but, he may face legal challenges that will cost him much more. How to Report a Scam He's running a raffle on the internet, there's just no way his operation can be legal! The gambling outfits have reams of legal requirements to do so. |

I also do not have the heart to bring all you know what down on him. I just do not want people to , like me get their hopes up for nothing. I want him to be held accountable. Whether i get a puppy or not. If i dont it will stay on the bbb for others to see. He seems to have done well in the past. He offers people to come get their puppy. So hes not trying to hide anything. It just makes me angry HE GAVE DATES when he would have puppies. Actually showed some yorkies those months. If they were not his why say that HE would have them. It just gave me the feeling he did have them but chose to sell them instead. Which is his right. Just dont tell me then back out. Then act like hes the victim because i reminded him he was ruining his witness. By doing business this way. |

This is just crazy. I'm so glad you reported him. Don't give up, he needs to be taught a lesson. (But don't take one of his puppies, either). |
Wow just google "scott's puppy palace" and all kinds of complaints show up. https://www.google.com/search?q=Scot...sm=93&ie=UTF-8 |
Your choice! There's an old Cheech and Chong comedy skit that covers what you described.... ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY7ZX6ngOSs |
