WOOT ok finally got the DNA results and she is full blooded yorkie. My sister sent hers in after me and got hers back before i did. Anyways me and stitchy have been travelling to hunt a bit as the bear has run us off of our pristine food plot lol. After discovering stitchy has more bravery than common sence, IE she tried to provoke the bear, i almost had a coronary on that. I mean the bears paw prints are over 10 inches wide and yap stitchy decided lets run down the hill and bark alot and play dodge the bear paw. She got grounded and has been an angel ever since, got some great pics of wildlife tho. I grounded her for a week, no hunts but after 3 days she was so pitiful we snuck out to a local DNR area and got some great pics of squierrels wrestling. We decided to leave the bear alone and allow him to take over our hunting area, next spring we are gonna build 2 more food plots for watching wildlife so we got options. Its funny she will sit on her camo stool for hours n be quiet and still but its the only time shes either quiet or still...now for the funny part, shes began taking hunting litteral, shes hunting moles. Any idea how to get a pup to quit killin moles or at least quit bringing the dang things in and putting them in my bed, its the stuff of nightmares, and she looks so happy to give me one....the kid is rolling, you taught her to hunt daddy....lol...but tomorrow is my bday, we r going to try 1 last time to get a great photo of the piebald doe thats living back by our pond....she is beyond beautiful....hope yall have a great day.....shawn n stitchy |
welcomt to yt cute pic |
Congrats all the way around! https://www.google.com/search?q=pieb...w=1024&bih=499 Yorkshire Terrier Information | American Kennel Club You've got horses! Your boy is preventing a broken leg by cleaning up the moles. Give the boy a bag of treats! Good boy! :) |
I went back and read parts of the thread I missed earlier... Great shots of the deer and bear! |
Thanks mark, its been fun playing dodge the bear this fall. We had a DNR wildlife biologist visit and he agreed the bear was amazing. Its one of the biggest hes ever seen in this state also, so rather than uproot and transport it this late in the year they are gonna do it next spring. Me and the pup are gonna stockpile honey high protein foods this winter and try n get some pics b4 they move it next year. My daughter got an awesome photo of me n stitchy in our pop up blind, with stitch sitting up in her hunting stool, all intense alert looking lol. I sowed a couple pockets into the sitting part for the hot hands things, 2 of the foot warmer ones in them pockets warms stitches belly, now she sits in it even when we r home n bugs me to turn on the heat lol. Next shes gonna want a massager added lolol. Hope everyone is havin a great day....shawn n stitch |
Hand warmers? That's a pretty good idea for the dog clothes or however you have it arranged. Stitch be spoiled! LOL Moles, deer, bear and a heated photo blind arrangement... Lucky 36 lbs full blood yorkie! |
Not heated yet, been eyeballin them mr heater little propane blind heaters tho lol. But she takes awesome care of me and saved us 18 months ago, so shes spoiled ever since lol. Plus shes my back up plan, she was trained to bring me a phone in vase in flip my wheelchair, thats worth her weight in gold to me heh. If u do the hand warmer thing, make sure u check em every so often as they can get too hot. I use the sticky part to her chair rather than a pocket so she can get away from it if its too warm, normally she will jump down n look at me n let me know, i keep a baby blanket in my huntin bag to toss over em when they grt too hot n blam shes all happy again. But she does rule on huntin trips. Everyone has had problems with me in the woods alone, but now that she goes, they all seem less worried. I used to take a bag of treats to keep her happy but now she watches better than me, shes always alerting me something is coming way b4 i hear anything. Gives me time to set up and posistion myself etc for the photo, and technically wr r hunting also, i take my pistol n a rifle. We ran into an injured animal 2 years ago and couldnt do anything about it n since we go armed. Still feel guilt over that 1. We stayed out all day in hopes of the hunter coming thru tracking that doe. Kinda glad n sad they didnt show up, id prolly wound up in jail for beating em with my chairs armrest heh. Dont get me wrong i dont mind hunting, BUT i do mine someone gut shooting a yearling. Me n stitch pick 2 old deer from our cams and if we see them we will take them, but its only happened once in 3 years heh. And i didnt have my weapon loaded lol. Got a great video of me cussing as it ran away tho lmao. Gave all the men in my damily a great laugh after my loving daughter snuck it on facebook heh. Im gonna try n get some pics of stitchy on her stool in the blind especially her "intense" look when she hears something comin. Ill load it on here once i get it. Im hoping to get a nature blind by next year for us, they are awesome, and that will have a heater heh...this is the one the kid n me agreed on. 4 Attachment(s) EE GADS! 4 grand! LOL Carpeted to boot! That's a Taj Mahal! Gucci and I are mostly on the move as we walk the neighboring park trails. I learned a little about safe edible mushrooms this year so we bushwhacked through sorrel and underbrush. Gucci occasionally lost his sweater so it would turn into a sweater hunting gig then back to mushrooms once the sweater was found. 3 times in one day... it was cold! LOL So, since, he mostly struggles through the brush naked. Here's a few poor quality pics taken with a cheap cell phone... The settings are set for low pixel count so I can download straight to various websites, quality suffers. |
3 Attachment(s) just checked the phone/camera... the settings are 640x480 VGA.... the file sizes stay below the 200 limit for this website.,,,, except MAYBE on very bright day photos.... I remember using MS paint to crop photos to get them small enough and that really sucked. |
I love the photo with the giant mushroom!! I used to chase pics of storms, its alot of fun, plus when u get that perfect pic of lightening etc it just makes it worth it. I got hooked on taking pics when i lived in OK, got some great pics of tornados, but stitch is terrified and i mean TERRIFIED of thunder. I have to put her in my lap, cover her completely to get her under control. Full blown shaking, slobberin wide eyed terror. Soooo my hobby went to animal pics heh. I tried them thunder shirts etc, but its either the kid or my lap n a blanket that works, i had to make her a little bunker for when im gone n it seems to help a bit. Ive blown up n framed a couple pics, but still havent got a great nature pic like yours yet with stitchy in it. My sister has a great pic of her female yorkie, right aftet an ice syorm, she took her out and one of the shrubs covered in ice was being hit just right by the light, it looks like the pup is standing in front of a diamond forest n all the shrubs behind it look like they r flaming. I keep tellin her to frame it, might do that for her for xmas, have her boy edited into the pic. But stitchy is my brave sissy lol, all brave half the time, the other half shakin n hiding behind daddy lol. But the blind yup its expensive BUT now that we got so much wildlife coming to the feeders plus a team of theivin raccoons itll be worth it to be comfortable n sit out there longer, i figure 2 years worth of hand warmers is about the same cost heh, after that ill be savin money. Well bout time to head to town n tick stitchy off, normally she rides with, but im oit of collars and she done chewed thru another one, she wiggles outta em n then chews em in two, no clue why, but she hates em and i cant bring myself to make em too tight soo time to buy another stack lmfao...hope yalls havin a great day....shawn |
That's an amanita muscaria mushroom, nice to look at, but don't eat em, that particular one was a bit "deformed" and unusually large. Gucci is a 5 lbs dog. Sedate and quiet in the house, slow on the trail at times. Thunder/fireworks, he comes unglued, antsy like rather than cowering too much. He barks about once a month. That photo blind it first cabin! That's a bummer about the collars.... Oof Duh! LOL |
