No kidding about Jaraden- they have some great bags! But truthfully, I've wanted a Kwigybo Alexa all along and only went with Jaraden because no one could get the Alexa. If they are going to restock their line, I can hold out longer for it. Shoot, the boy won't be here til December anyway. :p

It's sad to see the few pet carrier companies we have going out of business.

And it's just as disturbing to see them sold. The companies are never the same. Kwigy Bo has gone down hill IMO. The recent bags I've bought do not compare to the first. The material, especially the hardware is just not the same quality. The zippers are the cheapest made in China quality you can find.

I will gladly pay the price for quality, materials, hardware and construction. But I hate when a company comes out with a good product and then outsources either the materials, production, or both, to china and they charge the same price for the new junk. It makes it hard to maintain customers and get positive referrals.

I agree, we don't have that many companies making carrier bags and they end up going out of business. The Cece Kent bags are a good example too, I looked up the bag you mentioned and it is GORGEOUS! Unfortunately, they did go out of business and I can't find the bags online.

I think the companies go out of business because maybe they aren't getting enough business to run? Cece Kent was also quite expensive and the average person probably won't buy a $400 dog carrier. They were gorgeous, though.

I actually just placed an order for a Wooflink Chic Bag 3 from wet nose boutique. I was thinking about the Alexander DOG bag but between these 2, I like the Wooflink more. Wooflink always sells out their products right away so I'm glad wet nose boutique had the bag. Hopefully they don't go out of business as well because I really like their things.. but their bags always sell out so I don't think they will (I hope, lol)

I agree, it is great concealing bag:) But, as I stated before, sadly, not comfortable:(


The SoHo is a very nice bag, but I agree that it should be comfortable for the dog AND for us, lol. I didn't like that the SoHo sides need to be pushed down for the dog to see out. It definitely is a good concealing bag, though.[/QUOTE]

This is the bag I made for Winnie...she seems to be pretty comfortable in it. I have used it since the day I brought her home :-) I am not a professional seamstress obviously but it works for us!! :rolleyes:

I had to shorten the strap a little bit after she came home because I didn't like her bumping on my hip when i walked ... now she sits a little closer to the bottom on my side...I think it feels a little more secure for her and I.

I have the Roxy carrier by Petote. I attached a picture of Miranda Kerr holding the same carrier I have. I also have a picture of me carrying it in my albums. Maui loves his carrier.

I am looking for one of the CeCe Kent bags Taos or Nantucket. Even a used bag . . . I have the Jaraden bag. I really like it. Just wish it came in black lol I have the mustard

Jaraden is not going out of business, just in the process of making some changes. New and improved bags will be coming back next year!

The new owners of Kwigy-Bo do not seem so invested in the company. They have brought back one large black Alex bag within the last three years since they took over. I wouldn't hold your breath for the Alexa bag. Just my opinion after working with them for so long.
