| ![]() Hello YT Lovers, It has been awhile since I had posted something. I hope all is well with everyone and their furbabies! How can I make a moving experience less scary for my 3 year old yorkie Julius? Since the age of 3 months he has been raised in my home with my son and my father. My son, Julius and I, are in the process of moving in with my boyfriend. The move in date is set for November 1st, 2014. My bf has been bringing Julius over more often to try to get him acclimated to his new environment, but for the most part he stays in the same house he has been raised in. Last night Julius, who DOES NOT have accidents in the house, decided he wanted to poop and pee on the carpet. He also has not been listening. Julius and my bf get along great and honestly Julius, will only listen to him and he acts as if he is mad at me. Can dogs get acclimated to new living conditions???? Is there something I can do that will make the experience for Julius exciting as it is for all of us. Thanks a lot for your responses. Amy and Julius

| ![]() I'm not sure if this is helpful or if it applies, but when I leave Billi at my grandmother's overnight, I leave a "dirty" tshirt, or our pillowcase, or a blanket from our bed. Something that has our scent on it and it comforts her if/when she gets scared or starts to miss us. My grandmother's told me that she's used it multiple times and it cut down on her crying, getting fussy with her there. Maybe start bringing things he's familiar with over to your bf's place so that when he's there, he'll feel more comfortable? Other than that, I got nothing. Hope he gets accustomed soon! Good luck with your move!!
