Maggie is a yorkiepoo but she weighed about 2.5 pounds at 13 weeks and is now almost 11 pounds. She was clearly underfed when we got her due to being the shyest one is the group. My guess is if she had eaten normally she would have ben 3 pounds at 13 weeks, and as I said, is now 1. Another poster just wrote that they had one who was 3 pounds at older than 9 week s (I forget specifics) and is now 13 pounds. My guess is you are looking at over a 10 pounder (with time...Maggie was 8-9 pounds at a year but has gained since then) I like the floppy ears. It gives them character and they can move them all sorts of ways that indicate their mood. |

I'm brand new here. I just registered on this site today. Zoey is my first dog in 20 years and my first Yorkie. She is so adorable! My Yorkie puppy has floppy ears, too. She is 5 months old. We got her at 4 months. I would prefer that they stand up, but it's okay if they don't. She is my little love regardless of what her ears do. She has so much hair! I may try getting the hair trimmed to see if that helps. |
She's beautiful and looks yorkie to me. We have lots of floppy eared yorkies here they are adorable but if you want her ears to stand tape them or trim them some. As far as weight, honey was 4 lbs at 12 wks (can't remember 9wks) she's now 7 lbs. |
Oh and how rude of me... welcome to YT |

A little cheese sprinkled on your yorkies food will also help the ears to stand up. At this point, she is growing so much the calcium needed for the ears is being taken for bones etc.,. So, adding a little cheese helps. And yes trim hair from ears that is weighing them down. |
Dinky has floppy ears. We just let them be. They really are adorable either way. His perk up a bit when his ears are trimmed. I don't think the weight indicates much at this point. Your girl has really amazing coloring! What a beauty. |
