Kyra's Dental Tomorrow
 
Kyra goes for her dental tomorrow. Please keep her in your prayers. It always makes me nervous as she is such a little girl. We are taking Huey's lead and getting toothbrushes for them to chew on tomorrow. She seems to be the one who gets plaque build up no matter how hard we try for her to not and needs yearly dentals.

It's always scary when these wee ones are sedated but dentals are such a necessity. Prayers for little Kyra tomorrow

Good luck. Be careful with letting them chew on toothbrushes. The plastic part can break their teeth.

Prayers for little Kyra! How old is she? My Sophie is 6 and hasn't needed to be put under for dental cleaning yet, but I know eventually she will. I think all her toy chewing must be helping b/c she fights anyone that tries to brush her teeth. >_<

Kyra is only 2 and a half and this is her second one. She is rather tiny and seems to get a lot of tartar build up. She gets her teeth brushed and dental chews daily but doesn't seem to help a lot. It is scary, but after seeing the affect the vet said helped contribute to our little Lolita's heart issues (she was a rescue and her teeth deplorable when we got her) we would rather risk the dentals yearly.

Aww poor little sweetie! I have heard that some Yorkies just have bad tartar issues no matter what you do! I feel for your little girl but commend you for being such a loving, caring mommy that you're doing what is necessary to keep your baby as healthy as possible! My prayers will be with you both tomorrow! ♡

My maltese just had his teeth cleaned last week and I was a wreck. He was there soooo long. And when I picked him up he looked so so sad. Gave me that why u left me here mommy look. It took him a few hours before he was himself again. I had to get it done because Maltese are prone to dental disease...I tried all kinds of teeth cleaning treats and I pay extra for them to be brushed at the groomers but he still got that build up. I'm just glad it's over.. They did a dang good job. His breath even smells better. Thinking about having my teeth clean there...lol

Yay good news!

It's sooo hard. I hated dropping Jackson off, and he was mad at me for a full 24hrs. lol. It's horrible.
