Welcome to YT |
Hey everyone out there in YT land. I love this site!! I am no expert on Yorkies (only had 2), & I have appreciated everything I've been told on this site. If I do something terribly wrong with my baby, I want to hear about it. I love my baby more than words can say. I want to get opinions from more experienced Yorkie Moms Dads. And, I NEVER want to be harsh to anyone. Yorkies rule in my life. Thank you Ann for posting this thread. Everyone needs a wake up call very now & then. |
Can we be served coffee from now on?? |
Hello I'm a new member. I'm hoping this will be a positive experience with supportive advice and mainly understanding. Looking forward to getting to hear from other yorkie lovers.🐾 |

I'd prefer espresso myself.... |
Chi tea for me--with heaping amounts of gratitude for all the love, wisdom, kindness, and compassion I've received from this site; I am eternally grateful. |
1 Attachment(s) Saw this on Instagram today and just *loved* it so much, thought I'd post it here as it reminded me of this thread immediately. One my main goals in life is to always strive to not react/respond selfishly...as in with anger, defensiveness, pettiness etc - I don't always succeed at this, but I try so hard (and when I fail, I feel like utter crap, ugh!). This little passage captures it all so well I think ---> |
Wylie's mom, That is lovely! And did it ever come at the right time, as I sit in the emergency hospital in a recliner for two days and night with my 4# Yorkie who was poisoned (unintentionally, but stupidly) with lawn weed killer by my neighbor, is fighting for her life. Been sitting here for two days just wondering where I will hide my neighbors body!!! Then I read your message :D |

Will she be okay, do you think...? How is her liver and kidneys? I will keep you both in my thoughts, every day. Please keep us posted on how she is doing. I need to check the ER section to see if you have a thread I missed in there. (and I don't blame you one bit for wanting to teach your neighbor a wonderful little lesson!!!!!) Save |
Thank you for you thoughts, Ann. We are 4 days out now and have been blessed with great lab results. Due to the immediate IVs and immediate treatment (I did not know right away what had happened to her) the vet is feeling like we "ducked a bullet". So kidneys and liver looks good now. Took the IV out today so we are watching to see if urinates and drinks now. She has not been too interested in food, but my son brought her filet mignon last night and she licked it and ate a little. So we are in a wait and see mode! Your message came just when I was having a lot of angry thoughts (not common for me, but hey, you messed with the light of my life), and it really helped to reel myself/thinking in! |
Timing is wonderful; and this is a lovely sentiment that I will copy and keep close (to look at often). I tend to flare-up rather intensely...granted I cool down almost immediately, but it'd be best, 'specially for me, to remember to be gracious and quiet. Thank you for yet more words of wisdom, my lovely and wise friend! |
