| My nitro got fixed Hi I am nitro's mommy . Nitro is 7 months old and he just got fixed and had teeth pulled on Thursday . He is not very happy with the cone. My question is about his cut it's a bit red the vet gave me some cream for it But I was wondering if it's normal or not thanks |

| Depends on how red "a bit red" is. Some irritation is to be expected, but if it looks angry and painful that could be start of infection. Watch it closely, use the cream as directed, and watch for any sort of oozing. Also, NEVER feel like you can't call and get an opinion from your vet after a surgery. |

| Do you have a picture? It is normal for a suture to be a bit red. You can also take the cone off if you are sitting with him and give him a break from it. If he's not licking or trying to get to the suture, he will be fine as long as you are with him.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | A bit of redness can be normal..but I'm not sure what you'd see as a "bit red" vs someone else. Hope he is doing well today!
