Glad I read your post. We are going for a vet visit tomorrow and 10 yr old Sugar needs to be checked for trachea and hip stuff. Her sister had a terrible trachea and finally died of that and heart problems just a month ago. Sugar needs dental work but I think I will discuss her vacinations as some of you have suggested. She is mostly in the house and only goes into our garden to run after her ball. I would never had thought to doubt vacinations but she may not need them. Thanks for the information.

Vet called ... Cancer.
We will go for consult to see what is to be done.
Wasn't expecting this.

I'm so sorry about your results. Ashley needed surgery for an accessed tooth at the age of sixteen and an anal tumor at thirteen, and she did fine with anesthesia, even with an enlarged heart.

Spoke with vet .. tumor is what they call a mixed growth, which we need to keep a careful eye on. I panicked too soon.
Must watch to see that no other tumors show up.

The tumor is pre-cancerous. Found the explanation confusing, but the vet said watch carefully for any growth or new tumors.:confused:

Wow! I just had mamo tumors removed from my 8 yr. old Havanese. I check her daily. I'm sure her age, size and health is what your vet is taking into consideration by not wanting to remove them now.

Had to put Trinket to sleep this morning. Medicine was no longer helping CT. She coughed and gasped for breath all last night.

I\'m so sorry for the loss of your sweet Trinket. I know it must have been a terrible night for you both. As hard as it must have been, you gave her a final gift by laying her to rest. She was your little friend for 14 years, and I know this must be just so terribly sad for you. Please try to take care of you. RIP Trinket.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is never an easy decision to make, but know you did all you could for Trinket and that she knew she was loved. RIP Trinket.
