| ![]() Does anyone know if you can determine in a litter if a yorkie will be shorter and stocky or thin and taller in stature? We are looking for a stockier body type. |

| ![]() We ALWAYS have rabbits in our yard. I swear they are sadistic because they sit just beyond the enclosed area my pups have the run of. It's as if the rabbits know the dogs can't get to them so they sit there to taunt them!

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | ![]() If you do not have a fenced in yard be very very careful. If your pup goes chasing after it it could be very serious. They could run right out into the road, so please be careful. Same with stray cats and other dogs. We've had rabbits in our yard for years thankfully my pups can not get to them but on the occasion when there were nests my dogs found it and than killed the babies before I ever know what was happening. They had destroyed the nest and ate the eyes of all the babies but one. But it ended up dying since momma did not return.

| ![]() Check your entire fence to see where this rabbit is getting in, then fill the opening with a brick or patio block, loose soil a rabbit can re-dig and get back in. Yorkies are hunters, your pup will kill it if he catches it. Years back 2 of my yorkies were intensely sniffing a garden bed I made that surrounded a tree, they had never went into that garden before, I went to chase them and see what had caught their attention. It was a rabbit nest, with tiny babies, eyes still closed. I got the dogs in the house, away from the nest, Silvia was already dripping from their mouths lol. I put up a temporary fence around that tree to keep they dogs away until the babies were big enough to leave the nest. My girls would have killed the babies, it's their hunting instinct. Good luck

| ![]() That sounds very much like a wild rabbit, not someone's pet. It probably wandered away from its nest/mother. I don't want to sound pessimistic, but a predator probably got to it already. |
