Please please put some ads up and call your shelters and vets offices. This could very well be somebody's loved pet that got out and they have been searching for. This dog could belong to a family with a child who is crying every night asking where there beloved dog is. All it takes is a few hours out in the woods to look like a mess and have issues pop up. This dog could have ran out the front door when it was opened and gotten out and not been found for awhile that doesn't mean it is unloved. How would you feel in this situation? I could never just keep someone's pet not looking for there owner because I would not want someone to do that to me. |

Female dog found, vet estimates ___ months old, coat colors Black and Tan. If this sounds like your dog please email pictures to xxx@something.com. That way you would get your proof that she was loved and cared for. What loving pet owner doesn't have millions of pictures of their babies, right? :) I know I'm guilty if that! They could positively ID the pup and you would have helped someone reunite with their baby as you were when Nico went missing. |
The yard guys let my foster Olivia out monday evening when we were gone. Luckily some kids found her and another lady kept her until we found her. She's been with us since january and is loved very much. When we went to get her the lady had bathed her and she'd lost weight since she wouldn't eat. She's a scrawny little thing anyway. She had been to the groomer monday morning so appearances are frequently deceiving. Please check the shelters and see if she's chipped. It's easy to judge. I'm unfortunately frequently guilty also. if they really don't want her maybe they will let you keep her. |

Update... I had a woman ride up into my yard on a bicycle and tell me the dog was hers. She kept calling it a "he" and couldn't tell me the breed...only that it was a small dog with different colors. She has no pictures. Sigh...this is going to be a process!!! |

This happens more than you would ever think it would and it's very sad. There have been stories on YT where members have looked for years and it turned out that their dogs were picked up by strangers and kept....YEARS :( This woman is a YT member and has a FB page. Her dogs were missing for 18 months and it took the police to get them back. It was all over the news when they were finally found. https://www.facebook.com/Findbaxterandcooper There are so many FB pages for lost dogs all over the country and people are always offering to take lost dogs for their own. These dogs have homes and families looking for them. I was looking on CL yesterday and there was a family posting a $1,000 reward for their lost YorkiePoo and the picture was of the granddaughter with the missing dog. Did you happen to read the link that I posted about AnnaBell? She was a beautiful dog and after only ONE DAY of being lost she looked like she was a homeless street dog. :( |
I know all about stray dogs. I worked with a shelter and I worked at a vet clinic before is retired so I am not a kid. You don\'t have to tell me . I know people steal dogs but in this case i do believe she was only trying to help the dog. I want to say thank you for helping the poor baby. If there is an owner trying to find her. They will show up. |
