| I have a Yorkie and a Yorkshire TERRIER I have two yorkies that are so totally different it is Hilarious. Bella my 7 year old yorkie is ALL TERRIER. She lives to look for lizards and always on the hunt for anything that moves. She once killed a baby possum and delivered at my feet for mother's day. She lives for "the hunt." I also have a one year old yorkie that is "clueless" what Bella is making such a fuss about. Parker is wondering why Bella keeps looking outside at the squirrels? Parker refuses to get off the sidewalk to get into the yard. Really, why would I expose my feet to dirt when there is a pee pad with my name on it. The two are so totally opposite. The only hunt Parker has is what are you eating mommy? Anyway it just hit me the comparison of the two. Have A Great Day

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Lol...isn't it amazing just how different they can be? All 3 of mine are SO different from each other. I think my girl, Pfeiffer, is more like your Parker (love that name, btw) -- where she is like "why would I pee OUT THERE when I have my perfectly nice pee pad inside?" and when she was just a little puppy and we were trying to introduce her to the outdoors, she was all "Why oh WHY would we ever go OUT THERE into that big place??? WHY? When we can stay all safe in here?". She was so nervous at first, just terrified of the big bad world. Whereas Wylie and Marcel are all "woo hoo, let's go!".

| I have the same thing with my two. I have one Yorkie and one Yorkshire TERROR. Macy is my little lap princess that can't be brushed, petted or pampered enough. Molly is the Terror that eats dead worms, chases birds and anything she sees in her yard, has been known to snack on her own poopie and only wants to be held when there is nothing better to do.

| Cody who I adopted 6 months ago was a city dog, leashed walked, lived in an apartment did not even know what a squirrel was . I adopted him in mid Nov. When I introduced him to his new home in the country and his new back yard he went ballistic, he ran like a lil grey hound, I could hear him singing "Born Free'. Now that the 3 1/2 feet of snow is long gone, he is out every day and his hunting instincts are kicking in. All my yorkies "lived to hunt" my last girl would rather hunt then come in to eat. Among many awesome traits of this breed the hunting is what I love the best, because this is what they LOVE most. It fills my heart with joy each day to see my new lil guy sniffing and hunting, being the breed he was meant to be. He now knows what squirrels are and they drive him crazy. I cannot wait for him to see his first chip monk, it is like he was just born, and exploring a new world, he is in awe of new smells and a new world, his back yard lol. Your pups remind me of the comedy show "the odd couple" lol. each so diff. from the other. Have fun and enjoy your odd couple lol.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Ha ha, I agree with you so much much, I find it funny when someone who has one Yorkie tells others what to expect in terms of personality. That's one of the wonderful things about Yorkies, they have such rich little personalities and each is so unique.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | It is so funny . . . We live in the Ramapos . . . So we call Galen Terrier of the Ramapos ! He loves it outside. He is only on a leash so he can not get to far. But I have to start watching for baby bunnies. . . I know he would "kill it"

| I am so glad you posted about their little quirky differences in personality. I have some friends that have yorkies and their babies are very much little divas. My Pluto, on the other hand, is a "roll-in-the-sand" kinda guy. He sits at the back door and whimpers to go out and play already! Since we see hawks almost daily, I don't dare let him out alone so he doesn't get to go out and play as much as he wants. He will lay on my lap and sleep sometimes, but he isn't the cuddle bug that my friends have described. I was a little worried that he didn't fit the personality. It doesn't matter, I love the little squirt no matter if he cuddles with me or just wants to bite my toes. I know he will keep developing that little personality too because he is still pretty young. It is just nice to hear that they don't all just fit one mold...just a nice reminder to embrace their differences...if that makes sense. |

| Seems I got the terrier. Maggie such a Tomboy. She doesn't like to be brushed, but would rather play in the dirt and mud. Digging is her favorite pastime. She loves hunting anything that moves, right now leaves are her favorite. SHHHHHH, don't tell her they are not alive. LOL. She also likes to swim in the bathtub. If I leave the bathroom door open while taking a bath she jumps right in and swims around. When she is all done being a terrier she cuddles and becomes a lapdog. Love reading all the different personalities are babies have. |

| I had 4 females (all now past) I was a camper for many years, bows? barrettes in their hair lol, not my girls. Put a bow or barrette in their hair, if they didn't rub, paw it off, the others did, They were all tom boys, rolling, rubbing them selves in the grass. Campground had a big lake, and an area for dogs to swim, I had to keep them on retractable leashes, or they would try to swim to the other end of the lake, they played wild with each other, crazy girls. All diff. personalities, who loved to hunt the mice, who was the squirrel chaser, who was "if it moves it's mine" and of course we had to have the chip monk chaser. All beautiful lil crazy girls, but at the end of the day all were cuddle bugs. All remembered, all still loved. Now I get to learn Cody's likes, so far it's squirrels and crawling insects, I have to watch him like a hawk, he knows nothing about bugs and wants to eat them iyiyi. I just got him a kiddie pool I pray he likes to swim.

| Bella sounds like my Cookie Monster, who is ALL terrier. If Cook's not sleeping, she wants to be out chasing lizards, birds, and squirrels. It's great, because she gets tons of exercise. But Cook is also a cuddler and a lap dog when she is relaxing.
