do you let your yorkie sleep with you? HOw many people let their dogs sleep with them? My last dog slep with me with no problems but I read that letting them on the same level and in bed with you causes dominance problems? My friends sleep with their dogs too and I've never seen a problem. Just curious. suzie |
My baby doesn't sleep with me. In a crate next to my bed, mostly because I am scared to roll over ( or better yet) or hubby roll over and flatten her.. |
The one's that would never pee on the bed are allowed to sleep with me anytime. My Rio always slept with me, and I really couldnt go to sleep unless she was there. Now Bridgit sleeps with me every night, and Chelsea does atleast every other night. Ginger slept with me once and I awoke to something not so nice on my bed spread...she now enjoys the comfort of HER fleece bed at night  |
Sully sleeps with us and he's fine - but we made him sleep in his crate until he was about 8 months old and was fully housebroken. |
Zoe sleeps in my room but not on my bed. He peed on it twice but is potty trained...weird. |
toby sleeps in our bed.... right between us as a matter of fact.... he usually likes to cuddle and sleep in my arms, and if it is cold out he will go under the blankets . There are no dominance issues, he knows who is in charge |
Jolene gets in to bed before we do and nuzzles into the comforter. She has to get it "just so" and sleeps there all night. She typically doesn't even move unless we bump into her or she gets cold. Then it is in your face so she can get under the covers and snuggle. Jen and Jolene |
Shelby has been sleeping with me since she was a little baby, less than 4 months. she never has had an accident in the bed and i think it helped her become an amazing cuddler. |
Absolutely!!!! ;) and ..... she actually allows Patrick & me to hang off the edge of the widest kingsized bed we could find, on either side of her!! Wouldn't want Miss Prissy Paws to fall off!! :p |
Shoshhh, I don't let Lily sleep with me. She lets me sleep with her. Just kidding, It is my Bed, ha ha ha :yelrotflm |
Layla sleeps with me, mostly because I gave in to her crying every night. She grew up with a bunch of other yorkies so I guess she didn't like sleeping alone. Now she whines and jumps up at my bed every night until I pick her up and she falls asleep right beside me and I have to wake her up in the morning! |
When we first got Benltey he slept in his own bed for the first month or so. After a a few weeks, and after he was totally potty trained, he is started sleeping with us. Let me tell you, he is a great alarm clock! Nothing like waking up with to Yorkie kisses! He will go down to use the weewee pads if he needs, so no accidents on the bed. I toss and turn alot at night so sometimes he gets frustrated and go down to his own bed to sleep! No dominance issues, he knows mommy and daddy are in charge! :p |
Rebel and Gracie sleep with me. As soon as London is old enough, she'll sleep with me, too! :p |
cali has slept with me since she was just over 4 months old. She gets down to use wee wee pads if she needs to . Mostly she sleeps allnight gets up in teh morning runs down to use her pads and runs back up to lick my eyes until I wake up. |
6 of my gang sleeps in my bed or on me and the other 4 sleep on beds in the bedroom and this is their choice. I feel totally protected and I know no one could walk into the room without someone sounding the alarm. :p I don't get the dominance thing  as I have heard this before but it just doesn't make sense to me. Weather I am laying down or they are sitting on the couch with me they really are stuck to me. I think they feel more comfort knowing I am there and touching me. They know I am in charge and if they hear a strange noise they always immediately look to me for my reaction. They might go ahead and bark but it is not the same bark when they are afraid. |
