Weening

Hi I hope some one can help my lovely little yorkie gave birth 4 weeks today to 7 pups she has been a great mum up until yesterday she really does not want them on her I have tried weening them with puppy food mixed with puppy milk but they are really not interested is there anything I can do to help them they are very happy little pups but they do seem to sleep a lot and when they are awake they cry a bit is this because they are hungry any help please

Well my yorkie baby at 4 weeks was not interested in food at all. At 6 weeks I put the puppy food dry in the blender to make it powder looking then I mixed it with formula and that's how I started weening her. She was still taking mothers milk at 9 weeks so I completely took mom away and now by ten weeks she is eating the dry food. hard process. You might need to tube or bottle feed the baby's if mom wants nothing to do with them till they start eating. Some yorkies are just not ready to eat so early on.
