Don't worry lol YT will get to see Miss Lily grow up! She's only four weeks. We can't get her until June and yes I'm very anxious about getting her. I may need to make a trip soon so I can hold her and give her love! The breeder will let me come it's just a long trip haha. Well a few hours but it would so be worth it!

I found out on Yorkietalk there are many beneficial reasons for a puppy to stay with its mother. They learn so much from her, they are more ready to face the world and will be healthier to mention a few. Trust me, she will be worth the wait.

Yes, Calleigh is my pup in the avatar. She is my world. Just like Lily will be yours. The times does seem to stand still until you can bring them home. It sounds like you're close enough to visit her. I was too far away to visit very often. Can't wait till you have her in your arms for good.

Well Caleigh is a beauty! Very very cute girl! I love my babies. Rosie and Mikki rule the house right now. I pray that they accept Miss Lily!

I didn't know they were so young until I'd made the 4 hour drive to get to her and after seeing them I couldn't just walk away. The lady isn't by any means a bad person. Out here that is the norm. I had to essentially beg the breeder to keep Finn until almost 8 weeks, she gave the rest of the litter up at 6 weeks. Luckily we had a bible camp to attend so I convinced her to keep him until we got back so he was a few days shy of 8 weeks. Luckily before a falling out with her a couple months ago I would take Finn over there still and he would play with his brother and momma, I also know the lady that took his other sister and brother and they have had play dates. Helped with the socialization issues that can come up if removed from momma too soon. In those first weeks we had him we were back visiting with the breeder 3-4 times a week until he was almost 12 weeks. The breeder I got from is not elderly but it is certainly a hobby for her not a profession. 1-2 litters a year(though her 2 females are getting fixed now) that she sold for relatively cheap, just enough to make up her own vet bills etc and that was it. Not a bad person, just poor decisions on the breeding/selling of these sweeties.

It was definitely worth it to take the 1.5 hr drive to see both Rosie and Luma before I could take them home. Very memorable, to this day. So you should go see her in the next 2 weeks if you can! It's fun to see the changes a few weeks can make to their personality and temperament. You'll want all the puppy memories you can get since you missed out on that with Rosie and Mikki
