| New to Yorkies We've had 2 yorkies for about 10 weeks now. One is a 6.5 month old Biewer boy and one is a 4.5 month old 1/2 Biewer 1/2 normal yorkie girl. Our little boy has a super soft coat, it's definitely not silky but it doesn't mat or tangle or anything. He has super fluffy little legs and his face is full. Our little girl, however, looks like a crazy dog. (Background: Her mom is our boy's big sister, and looks just like him but silky). Her legs and chest are all sparse and wiry looking (but still feel soft), and her body is super fluffy. She looks like her fur is thicker near her spine/ saddle than on her sides, and it lays heavy , like a bowl cut. Basically she's all different textures. Is this just a stage? Is she going to grow out of this? I'll love her regardless, but she looks like we don't take care of her. We brush her twice a day or more, and bathe her once a week, and are using puppy shampoo and cowboy magic. Please help! |

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Congratulations on your puppies! What are their names? Adult coat can be a little difficult to predict. But puppy coat is typically difficult to tame in general. Max looked like the Muppet Animal when he was a puppy.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Hello and to YT. Biewers coats go through a transition. Galen's was very fluffy and his adult coat came in it was soft and a lot more silkier.

| Thank you! Their names are Tucker and Nina. We used to have a Goldens, so we're not really familiar with these little guys, but we love them. We've read a lot but books only tell you so much. Yorkietalk has been a savior!!! |
