| ![]() Have you tried using Chicken baby food? Give a taste, give the meds and have another taste ready to stick in his face before he thinks about spitting it out. OMG! That face! What a cutie pie!

| ![]() So sorry to hear your baby is sick! Try wrapping him in a towel or blanket to restrict him from moving around too much. Put the syringe at one corner of the mouth between the teeth and cheek. Squirt toward the back of the head. If you have to, hold the mouth closed and gently stroke the throat to encourage him to swallow. Reward him with a treat after. Maybe a small piece of boiled chicken. It really helps if someone can hold him while you give the meds. Hope Moose feels better soon!

| ![]() I'm assuming you're hiding the med in wet food? Maybe the smell isn't too appealing to him? I think a lot of ppl have luck with baby food like kjc mentioned. Both Magnus and Zoey used to throw up when I forced meds down with a syringe. |

| ![]() well I found a way, I just hope it's ok...I melted a little butter, a piece about the size of a lima bean, and mixed it up w crushed oyster crackers and his meds. he occasionally shakes his head in disgust but comes back for more until it's all gone. I wouldn't normally feed him butter but these meds make it an exception. I tried baby food, wet dog food, pill pockets (which he normally devours), and peanut butter all to no avail. thanks for sll the suggestions! |

| ![]() It hit or miss here. Sometimes pill pockets work, sometimes cheese but when nothing else works, I have found liver wurst does it. Sounds like poor little Moosie is having a rough start. Get well soon.

| ![]() moose has seen better days. brought him back to breeder to nurse on his mom because he wasn't eating a thing. even turned his nose up at pill pockets. at some point I may have to take him back to ER if only for fluids/IV. |

| ![]() Oh no! Keeping little Mooser in my prayers... Those are some nasty bugs he has, and to have to take all those meds can really mess a very young pup up... get them all out of sorts. I'd leave him with Momma for as long as possible, let him gain some weight and get stronger... least til 12-15 weeks or so.
