confession :( 1 Attachment(s) So after these past 14 weeks I have cared for a yorkie that I adopted. (pregnant) her puppies are now 7 weeks old. and I am super attached :( I want to keep the runt of the litter. I named him wild one because he is so SPASTIC it is hilarious! We let him out of his pen with the mom and he runs and runs until he just zonks out. But I know I have to let them go. :( but here is a pic of them sleeping. I am dreading the day they will be gone :( |
Awww, how precious. Congrats on the new little family. |
I do NOT envy you. This is why I can never foster or even go to a shelter. I'd want to keep/bring them all home. The puppies are just prescious... I probably won't be able to let any of them go and end up on one of those reality shows.. animal hoarders. |
Aw! Little cuties! |
They are cute! I would have to keep one whats one little yorkie. My cat had kittens and we had to keep 3 lol |
Cute! Energizer bunnies recharging their batteries. ;) |
Oh, I don't blame you. I've never been in your position, but I can only imagine how hard it would be. I've never even met the pups, but the pic makes me want one! You clearly care a great deal about these little guys! Once the hard part is over, you will have great memories and experience to share and help others. :dogwalk::thumbup: |
How adorable they are sleeping but I just can't imagine what it like when they are awake. I wouldn't be able to give any of them up. We are going to south Carolina next month, as we pass thru on 95, would you be so kind as to pass a few thru the car window? ;) My husband would shot me. He says we are full, Not! |
I say go ahead and keep him! But if you can't, at least you can decide who gets him, right? |
I would want to keep them all lol |
I too have over the years raised many litters of feral kittens, and out of 7 litters, one stayed 5 out of 7 times :-) so yea I am no help :-) |
So we decided that we get to be very picky on who gets a puppy :) they will come with their first set of shots ( through my vet) and they have their tails docked and dew claws removed already and whoever gets a puppy will have to sign a consent that they will have them fixed and will not try to breed them. As well as if they decide to not keep the puppy they will give them back to us so we can properly find a new home for them :) that makes me a little bit ok with letting them go. But I will miss the puppy barks and the bites and the running around the house herding my other yorkies. But the good news is I get to keep the wild one! :) |
aww they are sweet I would never want to have them leave either. :) Glad your being picky about their new homes. |
They are absolutely adorable, I could never part with them, I would keep them all, one reason why I always got my females spayed. If I ever were to have breed, I would not be able to part with them. You have a good contract, return if not wanted or cannot keep. Good luck to you. |
so glad they are letting you keep one, I was going to ask why you could not. Just curious how this group works, since you took on a pregnant mom, did you still have to pay the adoption fee, and do they help with all the vet bills regarding to the birth of the puppies, what did they decide to do on the tails, dock or not. I have no agenda for asking just very curious about how all this works, because my sister in law has done that for a westie group in Nashville but she fostered the mom she did not adopt the mom. The puppies were kept in her master bathroom and between the mom and the puppies she was busy round the clock |
