List the Good and the Bad of your Yorkie
 

List a few things you LOVE about your Yorkie and a few thing that aren't your favorites.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Things I love

Love how cute he is.
Love how playful he is
Love how dependant he is on me!
Love that he goes everywhere with me
Love that he cuddles in bed, has to be touching me
Love his eyes, when he looks at me and ya see the white, looks so humanlike
Love that he cracks me up, on a daily basis.

Not so favorite things

Not a cuddler,, xcept when HE wants!
Not a kisser
Feisty with other dogs. (at first)
Still has poop accidents (occasionally)
When he gets something he should have,, You CAN NOT get it,, it's gone!
Barks like a mad man when he sees another dog. Cannot distract him.

Things I love:

How sweet and pretty she is
That she is well beyond the chewing stage
That she loves to cuddle
That she sleeps through the night
That she loves a bath and LOVES to be warmed with the blow dryer
That she tolerates me dressing her up

Things Im not thrilled with:

How timid she still is of everything
That she is no where near potty trained
That she barks so softly (breeder had her debarked)
That she doesn't know how to play with toys
That her teeth need SO much dental work

But despite it all, I still love her!!!

Biddy:
Likes - She is fiesty, she is sweet, she loves me more than any one, she is the prettiest thing I've ever seen, she makes my heart melt when I look at her.

Dislikes - She's neurotic! She barks at her dad every night when he comes to bed, she is very possessive of her food :(

Tucker:
Likes - His smiles :), his face, his cuddliness, his fluffy little body, his sweetness, his dumbness, his goofiness.

Dislikes - He can't controll his bladder & he eats poop!

Yes~ I forgot that one,, He wont let the cat near me either..or any other dog for that matter. SO jealous.

maggie

likes

Wow I have 3 how do I work this out!
Bounce's qualities:
He is beautiful, loves kissing, loves to cuddle, very sweet, loves to be brushed, loves to cuddle with his brother & sister, can go up & down the steps on his own.
Bounces bad qualities:
Doesn't poop where he is suppose to, doesn't like to be blow dryed, doesn't like his nails clipped, barks everytime we go downstairs, barks when people come over, barks at his boxer brother when he comes in from outside.
Romeo's qualities:
He is sooooooooo sweet & cuddly, he is adorable, he is very, very affectionate, very dependent on me, wants on my lap everytime I sit, love his tongue sticking out all the time,
Romeo's bad qualities:
He doesn't like other dogs around, depends on his mood doesn't want his brother or sister near him, doesn't go up or down the steps, makes noises the whole time he plays with his brother & sister so loud you can't hear anything else, barks when he hears the slightest sound, doesn't want anyone else holding him but his Mom or Dad & sometimes Grandma.
Isabella's qualities:
She is a doll baby, loves to play, loves to kiss & loves to love, very energetic, has a great appetite for as small as she is, she eats like a piggy, she is a Mommy's girl, doesn't mind wearing clothes but neither do the boys, loves everyone.
Isabella's bad qualities:
Isn't afraid to jump to or from anything, eats poo, goes up the steps but not down so she goes up & cries for us to bring her down again, spoiled, spoiled as are the boys, Bounce taught her the barking thing when we go downstairs & barking at their boxer brother.

I think that is everything, well that is definitely enough

Baxter:

Like his excitement to see me everytime I walk through the door (even if I just went outside for a moment or to the laundry room)
Like his healthy appetite (haven't found anything he doesn't like yet)
Like his abundance of love and kisses
Like it when he cuddles (if he ever calms down enough to do that)
Like his joy to play with the children
Like his eagerness to play with his toys
Like his love for his four-legged brother's
Like his cute, adorable face and fluffy body

Dislike his ability to pee and poop at every single second of the day (when, oh when will he ever be potty trained?)
Dislike his need to bark at every single noise
Dislike his too-trusting personality (never met a stranger....hard to warn those eager ones about "stranger-danger")
Dislike his sharp baby teeth (uses them whenever possible)
Dislike his desire to eat nasty things (such as poop)

Wosie:
Things I love about her::thumbup:
She is the happiest pup I have ever had
She has boundless energy and an excellent personality
She's cute as a button
She eats well
She loves me so much
She loves Dave so much
She likes strangers and doesn't bark or bite
She loves to kiss
She's great with kids & loves to play
She only chews chew toys and doesn't destroy anything else
She learns things very quickly
She is about 90% potty trained at 6 months, and poos and pees on cue
She knows what "no bark" means
She lets me groom her without too much fuss including teeth and nails

Things I wish were different :thumbdown
She peed on my BED last night without telling me she needed out!!
She whines if I am not in the room
She wiggles so much sometimes I am afraid I am going to drop her
She fell off the bed and broke her leg in November (wish that had never happened)
Her coat is too thin and her silver is not breaking through fast enough

Zoe

Likes:
He is soooo cute!
He is playful
He is totally potty trained
I can leave him in the room without him destroying anything
he runs and hops like a rabbit.
that he MINE

Dislikes:
He's too fiesty
Is NOT affectionate
Won't come to me
Will wake me up when he's up
Still teething so bites everything including my fingers and toes

What I love about Matthias? Everything! He is cuddly, kissy, devoted to the kids, obedient, his colors are gorgeous, he plays so wonderfully with my kids - especially our three year old, he comforts my youngest when she is crying from getting hurt or too tired or whatever she is crying about (he is really starting to become quite attached to her), he won the heart of my husband (his daddy, who will now let himself be called daddy by the dog), he knows when I'm in pain and picks those times to just lay with me without fidgeting, he goes to bed with me every night and helps me read whatever book i'm working on (he inspects each page before i read it, until he falls asleep)...

what I don't like? Well, he is housebroken but occassionally I just can't get to the back door fast enough when he asks so he will piddle there. He's funny about bathroom time. He'll go down the porch steps and pee. Then go back inside for his cookie. Then go back out for his poo. All so he can get a second cookie! This makes it hard for me as I'm disabled and steps are a real challenge. But I try not to complain too much. He only does this in the morning.

Matthias is truelly my baby and I love him completely unconditionally. My daughters are calling their friends and saying they have a new baby brother now! I love him from his black nose to his white tipped tail!

Mac- Likes:
His outgoing personality
His undying affection
the little faces he makes when you talk to him
His energy.
Watching him play.

Dislikes:
He doesn't listen to anyone!
His potty habits. Trained when it suits him.
His jealous attitude towards Mellie.

Mellie - Likes
Her little kisses
Her beautiful eyes
How well she listens and behaves
Her little strut
How dainty she is when she eats.

Dislikes
Not very cuddly. Only when she feels like it.
That she likes to go visiting the neighbors by going under the fence.
That everytime I sit at the kitchen table she barks to come up. Even if there is no food around.

Things I LOVE about LILLY :)

She is such a cuddler
She gives you soo many kisses all the time
She makes me laugh every day
she gets soo excited to see me when I come home, and its makes any bad day good
She loves her daddy so much and I love watching them two together
She is a fighter like her mommy
She is 100% potty trained
She loves to play all the time
She loves being right on your neck to sleep
She just makes you smile all the time
I love how she hates the vacuum and wants mommy to hold her everytime I clean lol


Things I dislike

She thinks my makeup brush is another doggy that is giving me kisses on my face so she goes crazy everytime I put makeup on and barks like crazy :eek:

She she stuborn and it usually happends when I dont feel good and I am not in the mood to deal with her haha

she can be to hyper at time, I am afraid she will hurt herself

she HATES to have her nails done

her high pitch squeeky noise that she makes she she is pissed hahaha

Princess is the light of my life. Her little kisses can make any bad day turn good.
She is always right by my side. :aimeeyork

:rolleyes: Really the only dislikes I have is she brings too many toys to bed. LOL
I let her bring one, but every morning there must be about five.

What I love about Miss Mini
everything , including her stubborn trait haha (I love independant Women)
What i dont like ..her biting i am in hopes she will out grow it Ill need the patience of a saint ..till she does .

She has a very fun personality, and is a goofball
She's a year old yet more playful then most puppies i know
She has a gorgeous face and silky coat

Dislikes
She can be a little rough with her sister (Bella)
She like's to go by "What's her's is her's and what's Bella's is hers"
She has to be on a leash or she'll run away

Things I love about him:

I love having him right by me when I wake up every morning
I look forward to going home everyday, so I can see him
He is the cutest puppy in the world (to me)!
I love his ability to learn things so quickly
I love his puppy breathe for now
I love his cute little face
I love his spunky funny personality
I love when he plays with his dog food
I love how cute he sounds when he growls and barks
I love the way he hops like a bunny and plays with the grass and leafs
I love that he loves everyone to pet his chubby belly
I love that he has to sleep on my neck or right by my face
This list could go on forever, he is the love of my life

Things that arent so good

I dont like leaving him at home while I am at work
I dont like the way I feel when I have to leave him, and he cries
I dont like that he is sick, because the breeder did not take good enough care of him.

Things I Love about Raven
Shes so cute and sweet
Has brought all of our family closer
Rings her bells on the door when she wants to go out
Does not bark excessively
Shes a great heating pad when shes sleeping with you
Does not shed, doesn't eat much
She's excited to see me when I get home
Follows me where ever I go in the house
She loves me unconditionally

Things that I dislike
She acts like shes the Queen of the house. I try to tell her I'm the Queen she can be the princess. Doesn't work!
When she eats her dry food, she takes it from the linoleum, to the carpet to eat it.
I sometimes feel like she is more excited to see my husband than me.
When she gets treats, she likes to save them and hide them. Like under pillows, in the corner of the stairs, or shoes.
When she does go outside, she thinks she is a big huge dog ready to attack anything.
This last thing doesn't bother me, but I'm sure my husband dislikes it. When I have to get up to go to the bathroom at night, since Raven sleeps right by me, she watches and waits for me to come back. As soon as she sees me she gets up from where she was, walks over kisses my husband until he acknowledges her, then she comes right back to me to go back to sleep.
It's as if she had to get up because I got up, my husband should be up as well. I find it very funny.

She is cute, cuddly, loveable, kissy and smart. She is small enough to take everywhere with me. she loves everyone and everyone loves her. She loves all dogs and is curious about everything. She is my best friend and my cherished companion.

She won't come to me when I call her, thinks it's a game. She gets frisky right when I am ready for bed. She has to get up and greet sons no matter what time they come in. She antagonizes my 19.5 year old cat.

Worst part is the guilt I feel when I can't take her with me. She hates to be left behind.

Things I love about Reese
 

I love that I mean the world to her.
I love that she cannot stand when I leave without her and will not stay with anyone else. She will sit by the door until I come home. If someone tries to take her into their room she will whimper to go back to the door.
I love that regardless of how I look, what I do or do not do she loves me.
I love that she cannot ask me for money or tell me which stores to go to when we are out. Unlike my three human daughters.
I love that I can talk to her and she actually listens without telling me how crazy I am. She has given me better advice than anyone else. LOL
I love how cute she looks and how wherever we go, EVERYONE stops to talk to her.
I love that she loves everyone and all dogs, big and small.
I love that she behaves almost all of the time in every respect.
I love how she has been fully housetrained since she was a baby. She is wee wee pad trained and will never have an accident unless she isn't feeling well.
I love how she snuggles up to all of us and will close her eyes and go to sleep when we say ahhhh baby.
I love everything about her and could never imagine being lucky enough to ever find another one like her.
I love that she has her own individual qualities, like her floppy ears, which makes her look so much cuter.
I love how she looks like a wet rat when we bathe her.
I love how she showers us with endless kisses.
I love that she very rarely climbs on furniture or ever chews anything.

I dislike that she will kiss ANYONE on the mouth nonstop. We are thinking about telling strangers that she bites.
I dislike that she hates to walk and will make us carry her each and every time.
I dislike that at times she makes us carry her from room to room. ( No wonder she is overweight)
I dislike that she sleeps too much and should be getting more exercise.
Although at times I think it is cute, I dislike her snoring and nudge her as often as I nudge my husband.
I dislike that she will not be with us for many more years than she probably will be.
And finally I disliked that she was overweight and that I feel as if I have to starve her, since she is hungry at all times. But, THANKFULLY we just had her weighed and she has lost two pounds and now weighs 8.4. Just one more pound to go.
I would never trade her for anything in this world with or without her negatives.

I love the way she gives me hundreds of kisses a day.
I love the way she coos and sighs like a real baby!
I love the way she 'spoons' me at night.
I love that she is so damn cute...and then some!
I love her energy and her curiosity.
I love how smart she is.
I love how she makes my husband 'melt'. It's funny to watch!
I love that she is so friendly with other people. My Maltese is not.
I love how she loves me back and looks at me like I'm her whole world.

I dislike the way she thinks the dining room carpet is a pee pad.
I dislike that I can't get anything away from her once she has it. She's like greased lightning!
I dislike that she takes everything away from her big brother Maltese and makes him look like a sissy!

I love Kacee no end. I really can't think of a thing that she does that miffs me. She is such a good little doggie. She seldom barks, so I can't complain about that. She doesn't get into too much, so I can't complain about that. She is housebroken, so I really can't complain about that. She has the sweetest disposition and just loves to go for long walks, loves to play, play, play! When she hugs you, she wraps her little self practically around your neck. She gets as close as she can! :D

the good: :p

that she never wants to wake up in the morning
that she burps loudly after she eats
the little wimpery noises that she makes when I disturb her during a nap
that she begs for a bath
the way she turns to look at me when I put her dinner out as if to say "thank you"

getting greated so warmly when I get home from work

the bad :mad:

her insane barking if anybody walks on the sidewalk in front of our house
her lack of tolerance for grooming
her lack of tolerance for anything she doesn't want to do
begging when we eat
her trying to play tug-of-war with my pant-leg when I walk through a room
her pooping under the coffee table when she is mad at me
that she rips apart her toys and makes me chase her around to get the stuffing away from her

I love how beautiful Jasmine is. At 6 months, she already has a beautiful long silky coat that never mats and she has a beautiful baby doll face, but even if she wasn't beautiful on the outside she is such a sweetie and is everything I want in a dog so I would love her just as much. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body.

She is a real sweetheart. Loves everyone, even strangers, but she especially loves her family which includes me, my husband and all my grandchildren. I am her mommy though. When I am home she follows me everywhere even to the bathroom. She adores me and won't get 2 feet away from me. She lays right up against me at night.

She can also be feisty with her brother Duffy, our Westie. Even he gives in to her most of the time. No wonder she is so spoiled. My husband, who didn't even want another dog, absolutely adores her. She's even stolen the heart of my 20 year old granddaughter who never liked dogs.

What can I say. She's perfect!!!!!!! (well, except for the housebreaking thing.)

Likes for Zoe:....1. she was a fast learner as a puppy

She plays with her kibble before she will eat it

Tori's bad
She is NOT potty trained
She has issues with listening
She likes to eat TP
She HATES to be groomed
She yelps like someone is beating her as soon as we walk into the vets office
She doesn't do well for pictures
She tries to eat her poo (which means more teeth brushing, which means mad puppy)
She barks at everything
She is scared of kids
She chews up anything she can put her teeth on (mainly my shoes)

Tori has some minor issues, but we wouldn't trade her for the world. :p

I love:

That she follows me everywhere
Her personality
Her kisses (even if they can be a little invasive)
Grooming her
The way she loves everybody
The way she plays with her sisters (a 50 lb mixed breed dog and an 11 lb cat)
The fact that when I get home she is at the door when I open it and acts like she hasn't seen me all day even if it has only been 5 minutes
That she will pee pee on command even if she just went 10 minutes ago
watching her play with her huge collection of toys

I don't love:

That she has to bark at anything that moves outside the front door
That she thinks she is a big tough dog and will take on anyone or anything that happens to wander into the yard
Clipping her nails
That she thinks the bathroom rug is a pee pee pad
That she steals thong underwear and hides it under my bed
That she leaves her toys all over the house and when I pick them all up she just follows on behind redepositing them all over the house again

The Good:

-He is SUCH the kisser! You can barely get to sleep at first at night b/c he has to kiss your entire face and hand and arn and neck. lol He's more loving than my boyfriend!
-He's an angel to groom. If only all Yorkies that come in were that easy!
-His ability to be sooo quiet in his carrier when we go grocery shopping or out to eat
-His "Mommy PLEEEEEAAAASSSEEE!!!!" eyes. haha
-OK, I could go on forever here!

The Bad:
-He pees.....on everything! lol I've had to start keeping him in a pen now. Apparently the house is a giant firehydrant.....that's honestly my only tiff with Bounce. oh yeah, he thinks it's super funny to poop by the cat's littler box. I guess he figures if they go in it then he should go by it! haha

Reesie
 

Likes:
Kisses in the morning because she doesn't bite or chew on you.
Love to watch her find a place to hide her bones. She's very determined.
Love to watch her stand on her two hind legs like a grizzly bear and play with my 15 year old cairn terrier.
She loves to rub noses with our cat.
We love to watch her play with her bumble ball or a empty plastic water bottle. It keeps her busy for ever.

Dislikes:
Potty issues of course.
Morning tug of war with my house shoes when I don't have time to play.
Trying to catch her when she accidently gets outside our fence. She thinks it's a game and has almost given me a heart attach.
Trying to get something out of her mouth that she's knows she's not suppose to have. She tries to eat you up

We have only had Reesie for 2 months, but so far she has brought so much joy to our home. I think even our 15 year old Cairn Terrier Trixie enjoys her.
