thanks... yea she is sooo cute! tiny little face... i love dogs and i have a yorkie thats 3 yrs old as well a female. i am excited about my baby but im so confused about breed!! lol thanks for saying she is beautiful..

She is cute. As for the breed, I do not know.

If I were to guess it would be Parti colored Yorkie.

What did you want to know, exactly, and are you asking about the parti yorkie or the biewer?

What did the breeder say she was? If it's important to know which breed, or if you're curious, a DNA test could tell you:

Sorry, looking at the Wisdom Panel website, it looks like only Wisdom Panel Professional checks for Biewer vs. Yorkshire Terrier differences. That test will be more expensive and would have to be done at a vet.

Couldn't they use the Optimal Selection genetic breed test? It list Biewers and Yorkies?

The Biewer, named after the founder,originated in Germany in the mid 80's. Over the years they are selectively bred and a standard was set. The standard is similar to the Yorkie, but calls for specific color placement. White paws, tip of the tail, symetrical coloring on the head and face, etc and no docking of tail. It has been recognized as a separate breed by some organization and can be shown in some venues. Not in the AKC

Partis are tri-colored Yorkies. They can be registered with but not shown in AKC. Can be shown in some other venues. There is no standard set for them that allows for the non-standard coloring, but typically, most Parti breeders follow the YT standard with color as the exception.

She is probably parti because of her coloring. Most of the biewers have more black. She is a cuties for sure.
