| I shaved my yorkie! :O My yorkie Layla is about 3 maybe 4 years old. Her hair is super short! She looks like a shorthaired dog! It was shaved about a week ago. About how long will it be until its almost touching the floor? |

| Well, I think it grows at a rate opposite to which you want it to grow. When I cut it too short it takes forever, but when I love the way it looks it grows really, really fast.

| Well Lola is almost a year old, her hair is a few inches above the floor, it was cut once but not much was taken off. It took about 4 months for her ear hair to grow an inch, but I think that grows slower. I'd say it would take 11-12 months for her to go from shaved to almost floor. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would say 18 months if she is shaved completely down. I had Cali cut in a puppy cut and that was about 15 months ago and her hair has not quite hit the ground. She has a slower growing coat though.

YT 1000 Club Member | I take my guys to the Groomer 3xyear and get them cut short (#7-3/8"). Over the winter their Coats will grow out to about 2" over 3 months. But, given how hot it is down here, and I take them hunting and they have opportunities to run very hard in very hot weather. So when it warms up, they get clipped.
