What kind of brush do you use? Hope not a pin brush , their little heads are pretty sensitive. I went to babies r us and got one of those small soft bristle brushes. I then spray it with detanglin spray and brush her head all around. |

Mmmm If they don't like it , try something different. A BABY brush has the softest bristles. I got one at Walmart and the bristles were too stiff , Babies R Us store has the soft ones, and they are small too and lightweight. Zoey loves her little head brushed. Sometimes we don't realize the pressure we put on the little tykes too when we handle them. She also loves her eyes wiped with a warm wet washrag in th am when she gets up and can't wait to get the hair out of her eyes with a topknot. Then lookout! She's feeling good and ready to play! |
I love the top knots! My fiance is against it though saying Oliver is a boy, let him be a boy. My boy is only 4 months and his hair is too short for it now anyway. I would love to to try it once, but the growing out process is going to be tough because the hair is all over his eyes before I can actually tie it some how. |
Opp 3 Attachment(s) Don't know where my pics went I will try again! Anyway.....here is Zoeys bedhead and she so appreciates it when I wipe her eyes and get that hair out of her eyes! Plus.... hair in eyes = irritation= not good. Can't see! Eye boogies eye Matt. Get a BLUE or BLACK barrette and call it a bow tye! Lol Makes them feel so much better. |
Omg I'm in love with your baby bed head! So funny. I wish my pup appreciate me wiping gunk off his face. He uses his paws to push my hand out of his face and look away. It's always a mission! |
Lol Maybe I shoulda showed you how nasty it was underneath! Maybe they need to be a little older to appreciate it. Zoey is almost 10 months |

Do you also use a groomers band or just the scrunchies? If you don't use a groomers band, what scrunchies do you use that will stay in? One shake of Abby's head and it's half out :( |
Hi. I posted a while back on the Grooming forum. I started using those rubber bands that are all the rage for the band bracelets the kids are making. They are very soft and pliable. A a bag of 600 is about $2.49. You can get them in all the craft shops. I have even gotten them at the supermarket. At less than a penny a piece, you can snip them out at the end of the day. No pulling or breaking hair. They stay in all day - even with my two puppies, who are romping and playing all day. |
How much hair does your little one have?! Those fit around my fur baby's leg to keep her socks on! I think they're huge lol.. I get mine on amazon |
We have a 3.5 pound tiny with long silky hair. Nothing stayed in for very long. These work beautifully. Are we talking about the same silicone bands the kids are using to make bracelets? I am buying them all up in NJ :) |
I use the bracelet bands too, I twist them twice (3 loops around her hair) on normal days and twist it 3x (4 loops) on days when I use a bow. It stays in for 24 hours, but it's pretty messy after about 12. Her hair is too long to leave it totally down. I like them because little hairs don't get tangled around the band nearly as often and I don't have to make the band as tight. I found packs of 300 for $1 at target. |
