| New Yorkie Mom & to YT We got our girl, Madison, 3 weeks ago and she is already a big part of our family!! She just turned 3 months and weighs about 3 1/2 pounds. I'm 40 years old and I haven't had a dog since I was 5 years old...so I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions!! I already have 2 issues I need help with: 1 - She's pretty hyper and my 6 year old son is kind of scared of her. Any suggestions on what I can do to help him? 2 - How do I get her to stop eating grass?!?!?! I'm attaching a photo of our girl....I hope it works! |

| Welcome to YT! Your baby is adorable. I am sorry but I can't help you on the grass question. When my girls try to eat it I just go pick them up and bring them back in the house.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | WELCOME!! What a gorgeous pup! Love her coloring. As far as the grass, all I do is say no and take them away from the grass. For hyperness, the best you can do is just explain to your son that all puppies go through this high energy phase bc they're just so happy to be alive and be playing.

| Eating grass is okay don't worry mine do that. Just get your son to sit with her for a minute or two at a time until he gets used to her. Just make sure he doesn't spaz and accidently smack her. It will just take him time to get used to her |
