Yayyyy so exciting |
how exciting// I have 10 more days till I bring Indy home |
The waiting is the hardest thing to do, but yet so worth it. |
Milo is super cute! Congratulations on the new baby. |
Thanks all for your good wishes. We are very excited.:D:D:D |
He's Hoooooome!!!! Home and in my arms as we speak. Whew, what an exhausting day, with some drama to boot! But all is well at this time. The trip home was hard. He cried and cried (REAL tears) until I had to take him out of his travel crate-he was so scared. It was very hot, the trip was very long. At home after unpacking and moving everybody in, he refused to eat. I had to run out to get him Gerber baby banana's and chicken stix, which he eventually ate. Still trying to find the optimum place for sleeping and training in the house. At first I tried the kitchen because that is the hub of the house and close to the backyard sliders, but YT says not to do this because you can drop meds on the floor as well as onion, chocolate, etc etc-all things they are not allowed to eat, and I can't be sure as my dad suffers from dementia-so that's out. Anyway, as you can all see we have quite a few challenges, not the least of which is Cassie's jealousy. :-( But he is a living doll. He already responds to his name, he loves to cuddle and give kisses, he tries to snuggle up with Cassie, but she's not having any of this now LOL-so we have to work on that too-Cassie-Milo relations. Anyway, I thought I would update you guys when I had the chance. i have so many dumb questions- just as if i were a first time yorkie mom. I feel so silly-but now is not the time-we have to get back to sleep. Will keep you updated when we catch our breath!!! Love to all, Cassie, Milo and Shellie :D |
awesome news// congrats |
Sweet potatoes are very nutritious and easy for dogs to digest if you want to feed her some veggies. The quality of protein is just as if not more important than the quantity. Some American pet food manufacturers tend to use some poor quality protein sources that can effect a doggie' s long term health. Your new pup is a cutie. Congratulations. |
Congratulations, and welcome home Milo. Let the fun begin :D I hope you all get some rest and you make it through the initial adjustments. You have new joy in your house :D:D:D |
Something AWESOME...Milo LOVES music!!!!!!! He was very restless and couldn't go back to sleep, whimpering and crying, just like a baby that doe sent know what the want. I had an idea to introduce him to music, as I did with all my pups including Cassie and Muffin-but none ever reacted! Well I started playing ANGELS IN AMERICA AND HIS TINY EARS PERKED UP. HE STARTED LISTENING IN WONDER, CLOESD HIS EYES AND FELL INTO A DEEP SLEEP! I've never seen anything like it It's like a drug to him! He's still sleeping!,:D |
That is so sweet. I'm sure you'll be doing a little Reiki on him too for relaxation. Just don't jell him out too much like sweet Cassie, where he hardly wants to move, haha. I'm so happy for you to have your tiny bundle of joy. Can't wait to see photos of him and watch him grow up on Yorkie Talk. |
Milo sounds like a little sweetie. That's so cool that music relaxes him. |
Wonderful news!!! So glad he's is home, and that is great about the music settling him down. |
Yay, Milo is home...how exciting!!! Don't forget to give Cassie her time with you, she needs to feel special...which she certainly is. But sometimes when a new pup is introduced, they lose some of that special feeling. I do hope they become best buddies very soon. What was he eating at the breeders? He won't eat that now? Hopefully you'll find something that entices him...soon. Give them both kisses from Winston and I...and turn on some tunes...it obviously soothes him. |
He is currently eating like a PIGGY!!! LOL :D I gave him chicken stix from gerber, plus caesars and some kibble and he almost chewed my thumb off. I guess he's getting adjusted, LOL. Cassie, who I have been hand feeding for at least a year or more, has started eating out of his bowl, LOL, I don't think she likes this new family member at this time, but it is really helping her :). I have been holding her alone and giving her some special time, but she's not a happy camper, as she had mommy to herself 24/7 so this is going to be a bit of an adjustment for her. She is growling at Milo who only wants to play. I have some videos and regular pics but they keep getting rejected. Don't know why, as I take them with my iPhone. Will continue to try to post pictures and videos. So far he is doing great. But he is a bit spoiled as he wants me around all the time and sometimes I actually have to go to the bathroom LOL :D I am planning on continuing to spoil them both rotten. I've redone my entire family room and have created doggy wonderland, so I hope my potty training will start to go well. Will report back when I figure out how to post my photos and videos. Love, Cassie, Milo and Sheliie:aimeeyork:D Quote:
