Check the ingredient list on your shampoo for sulfate and other chemicals that can strip the skin and coat. Sensitive skin can be irritated by those substances. With a good healthy diet and some good all natural shampoo and conditioners you should not have to add anything else to the coat to prevent itching and flaking. Sometimes man's unnatural intervention can do more harm than good to our pets.:( |
dog I had a poodle with real dry flaky skin. It was the food. The derm doc said to feed venison dog food. I did that and she cleared up! Really try to get her on this food. It helps if it is a food allergy. |

Just in general the ingredients are quite starchy, too much filler and carbs, try finding a food that has the first few ingredients as whole meats or fish not meat meals, a minimum amount of vegetables, no beet pulp or potatoes |
