County licensing Do yall license your dog or dogs? with your county? I have never really heard about it and was wondering how many people actually do it and stuff. |

Tbh, I never really heard much about it either until recently. Jackson isn't registered with the county. Maybe he should be, I don't know. We've always lived in rural areas, not in neighborhoods. It's not something that seems to be regulated. |

Max and Teddy are licensed. It's required in our county and the vet sends papers directly to the county offices when they have their rabies shots. Then we have to make sure to pay $10 for each. |

Yep, required here as well... |
|
Its required here too, along with microchips. My vet handles that. |

Don't know if it's required or not. I've never done it. |

Licensing is required here, we even got a letter from the City of San Jose saying we had to do it after P-Nut got his first rabies shot. I believe it's $35/yr per dog if they're fixed. And we can only have 2 dogs (unless living on acreage, in which case the limit is 3). I never knew that, just read it. |

Yep we are required to be licensed and so we are. |

It's required in my town as well. Just got the renewal notice too. |

I don't do it because it upsets me that cats are not required to be licensed. They are pets and family members as well as dogs. |

We have the same thing- if you get your dog a rabies vaccine the vet reports it t the county.- I knew I got the bill, 35$ for a year mby 65$ for three?- kinda Forgot about it, got the 100$ county fine notice (oops!) called up within the ten day grace period and paid the license fee, felt grateful for my grace (right before Christmas). I think they require it for cats in our area too - portland oregon- but I think there are a lot less people vaccinating and vetting their cats so it is inevitably less regulated. |
