Found a stray, where should I post online "Found" ads? We found the sweetest little dog last night. She has a collar and an Animal Pound metal tag (but they're closed), but no owner info. I've posted a Found ad on Craig's list...where else are the most common Lost/Found sites to post? |
Oh I wonder if he heard fireworks and got scared? I'm glad he's wearing a tag and that usually works very well for me, can't believe the office is ever closed, the should have call forwarding, I'm sure they could get volunteers to man the phones. I do not know of the one best internet site, there are so many, here's a place that list by state and here's AZ's listings. Arizona Pet Lost & Found Dogs, Cats, Parrots, Cockatiels, Ferrets, AZ So glad the dog found you! |

This dog is SO sweet - I think she is a little mini boxer or something? So gentle, sweet, well behaved...I can tell she is well loved. I took her for a short walk last night to see if anyone was looking for her, and some fireworks went off and she was very scared of them - so yep, I was thinking she got out bc of the fireworks too. We took her for a walk this morning and put up some signs in the neighborhood. Here is her piccie - look at her cute little underbite :D: |
Poor baby! I'm glad you found her before anything happened to her. Hope you can find her family quickly. |
She is so lucky you are keeping her safe until she is reunited with her owners. Fireworks sure scare our doggies. Keep looking for "Lost" posters near by. |
I'd post her picture and info on facebook and ask people to repost, or have someone else nearby do it if you don't have facebook. |
Look up Arizona and also your county for lost and found pages on Facebook. Those are popular around here and all the sharing really helps. |
Lemme know if you need her posted on FB and they require an acct (unless T has one). :) |
She is darling and hope you find her owners soon. When we found Vivi, we tried Craig's List, the newspaper, signs, vets, animal shelter, police, etc. However, we did not say what kind of dog she was, just that she was little and brown. How kind of you to take care of her. Bet someone is going out of their mind looking for her. |
Some places have a local fb page for lost and found dogs or even yard sale pages maybe you could try and find those and post on there. |
You could take her to the closest vet's office and see if she is micro chipped also. They have bulletin boards at most of them and you could put something up on it as well. |
Aww, what a cutie. I hope you find her owners soon. My brother found a german shepherd last night too and posted a Craigslist ad. The owners called a couple minutes ago and are going to be reunited. Fireworks are definitely the cause of a lot of lost pets. |
She looks like she has Pug in her. I hope you find her owners. |
Aw! What a cutie! Hope she's chipped, but I'm sure the pound can cross ref her tag. And yeah, hope the info on her is current. She looks well taken care of. Hope her family is found soon... |
Well, no owners yet. I was able to use the Pound's automated system to pull the owner's phone number off of her Pound tag and guess what? Yup, OUT OF SERVICE. I'm taking her to get scanned today and will also call the Pound now that they're open today and see if they have any add'l info about the owner. I put up about 7 signs and posted on Craigslist. She is *such* a sweet girl. Goes potty outside only, is super calm, affectionate, loving, sweet, funny. I can't believe no one has come through our neighborhood looking for her! Unless she's super far from home...? |
How frustrating that the number is out of service. Hoping the pound will have more info and will be able to help you locate this baby's family. |
Kudos to you for taking her in, and glad to hear that she is so well behaved. Someone must be missing her bad. Hoping a reunion soon!! |

I sure hope you can find the owners when you go walking on that street. She sounds like such a sweet girl! |
Good luck. There is also a chance that the owners are out of town and don't know she strayed, and maybe someone else is supposed to be watching her. |
REUNITED ! Yay. I took her for a walk down that street and right as I was walking by, an older gentelman was walking on the side of his house and I asked if he knew the dog and it was his...she went all crazy when she saw him. Her name is Lady :). He said he tried calling the pound this morning and realized his old phone number was on the account. I'm not really sure why he didn't come looking for her (I have signs a few houses down from his), other than perhaps he didn't really know how to look for a dog other than calling the pound. Whatever the case, just happy for the happy ending! |
I am glad you found her owner.:) That was so sweet of you to take care of her when she was lost. Did the owner say if she got out of a fenced yard? I am glad it had a happy ending. |
How sad is it to lose your dog in the beginning of the new year? Really glad that Lady got picked up by you and was able to return home fairly quickly. I hope the owner updates all the info for the tag and chip if Lady has one. :) |
So happy for a good ending. |
Oh so nice to see this happy ending :). Bless you for taking her in and taking the time to find her owner. |
Happy ending... I love those:) |
So happy to read that Lady is back home where she belongs. |
Wonderful news! Happy to hear Lady is home. |
Bless your heart for taking this dog in and caring for her until you found the owner! I am so glad it is a happy ending for Lady and her owner! |
Yay!!! Happy for Lady, the owner and of course you!!! |
