What does yours steal! 1 Attachment(s) Got a quick pic of this after a swift piece of random opportunism this morning by 'Lady Crystal! The Act was perpetrated a few rooms away and ended here. They always include the 'Come and chase me routine', at least five laps in duration! Also I know if I drop a thing, it will be swooped upon mercilessly without consideration - the funs in the chase of course - for both of us!:) |
3 Attachment(s) That is too cute .. What a rascal :D My Oscar loves to steal Socks & Hats & Washcloths.. |
My pups have a tag team effort. Generally Dino steals it and runs away with it and then gives it to Mr. Bucket to destroy. Among the items that have been stolen and promptly destroyed is a wide variety of shoes ranging from $200 heels to cheap walmart sandals, teddy bears, socks, my old blackberry, and pretty much anything they can put their little mouths on. I now subconsciously take off my shoes and put them high up either on my dresser or night table. Good thing they are so cute :D |
I'm embarrassed to admit I have 2 underwear thieves in my house. |

Puff prefers to steal from her big brother--whatever he may have. Whether it's a sock or a toy, as soon as she notices that he has something, she "needs" it. She will try sneaking up on him and if that doesn't work she will sit in front of him and cry and squeak and yelp. It amazes me how well she portrays the bratty little (human) sister! |
Geno is my little panty thief as well as a sock bandit. Mia will occasionally steal socks but she isn't too bad with being a huge thief. Geno pretty much steals anything he can get his little paws on. My boyfriend has been slowly learning that you CANNOT leave anything out cause Geno will eat it. He already found this out after a destroyed pair of eyeglasses, wallet with atm cards and license. Mia last night found a dollar and was running around with it lol |
Oh my...I guess I have very good kids...and safe undies. ;) The girls only steal toys from Brody, and Brody only steals scunchies...which he seems to think are 'chewing gum' but they make an excellent game of 'keep away' too...a game he combines with "Catch me if you can 'cuz I'm the Gingerbread Man!" :D |
Lola's favorites are socks, pens, my grandmom's cell phone, and tissues/paper but she'll steal other things too. If you get up she promptly searches where you were to find good things. Luckily she's not destructive, unless it's paper, I think she mostly does it to get treats and attention. If you don't try to get it back from her she'll prance infront of you a few times. |
SOCKS! Tatiana loves my socks and thank goodness not underware! She doesn't hide them, but only and wrestles with it. |
My Rory has stolen everything from socks to money. I was counting out a bunch of ones the other day and she just climbed up and ever so gently grabbed one and then gleefully ran away. Last night I grabbed a pair of pajamas, underwear (yes, she steals underwear), and a pair of socks and went to shower. I know I got a pair of socks out but they disappeared before I even got IN the shower. I still haven't found them. |
Haha! Tink tried to make off with a full 2 liter bottle of soda. She usually only grabs the empties, and has learned how to get the lids off. She'll also grab tea towels and run with them. Finny grabs Tink's toys and teases her with them. My 2nd Yorkie was an underwear bandit, and would chew and swallow snaps and parts of zippers off jeans and jackets! Luckily she always pooed them out, lol! |
Socks! Bella will take them right off our feet. She even tries to take them when we walk. And of course any and all paper. |
When Callie was a puppy she would take everything including water bottles with water in them. Now she is pretty chill but will occasionally take a fuzzy slipper sock or a tissue. If I tell her no she stops but I do let her keep and play with the sock for awhile because she doesn't damage it and ends up sleeping with her head on it. |
Huey steals and eats anything made of paper. Napkins, kleenexes, empty cigarette boxes, receipts, etc. For stealing without destroying, it is my bedroom slippers. I can usually find just one because the other one is elsewhere in the house...He grew out of the panties phase, thank goodness. |

Skeeter too. He just can't resist grabbing a sock if he can. I usually find them in one of the dog beds when I go looking for it. LOL |
Gizmo is pretty much an opportunist :-) if its not nailed down and he can grab it, it's his lol. His favorite is socks and my 2 grand babies shoes though, he must have at least fifteen socks in his xpen :-) now I know who the sock monster is after wondering my whole life hehehe. |
morgan loves to steal socks |
Now I'm bummed.... "Crab Bait" aka "Gucci" doesn't steal or play with anything....... except our hearts and affection. Might be due to his rescue dog history. We were told he was in a puppy mill for 7 years...... He so rarely barks.... he's very reserved.... happy to be held but... pretty much is an old man.... nearly stoic.. He is well behaved but less emotion than what I'm reading about here. |
Socks mostly with Gina, although not so much since I tied a pair together, and gave them to her. She has stolen my cell phone twice, paper, towels, pretty much anything she can pick up or drag away, including under ware. We can't even put the presents around the tree, she will try to rip the paper or take off with the tissue paper, she's a little scamp, but a very cute scamp. Cheers Quad & Gina:aimeeyork the sock thief:D |

I have four Dogs and trust me, they learn how far they can go from each other !!! This is odd, but my guys never steal anything of mine, but... if I have someone over and they have the occasion to take a item of apparel off, it's GONE in seconds if an eye is turned away. I guess being the Pack Leader has it's advantages  |
Socks and bras! Zoe loves chewing the straps on them! |
tissues, Charlie loves to shred them all over the place :D |
Draco steals everything, but the only thing I feel like he makes an repeated effort is my makeup! I don't know why, he once got into lipstick every since I've been careful of where I leave stuff, but if I leave a tube of mascara or something lying around he's quick to jump on it. It's soo odd I can't imagine why or if the plastic has something to it he just likes to chew or the smell of makeup. It's a good thing I don't wear much, and usually just leave it on my dresser so he rarely gets a hold of it. |
Jillie will chew holes in pockets of coats and pants if she catches the whiff of treats in them. Eddie once stole my wife's prescription glasses and returned them about 6 months later, slightly chewed. All the dogs steal the other dogs chew toys. It doesn't matter if it's a favorite chew or not, the chew toy is always better if it belongs to somebody else. |
Anything that is dropped by accident will be snatched and absconded with before one can even bat an eye if Piper is in the room. She also finds paper products to shred, socks to hide, and, as I'm brushing her brother's teeth, she is repeatedly stealing the lid to the toothpaste, the finger brush, the whole tube of toothpaste, etc. It becomes an athletic event to brush teeth around here. |

1 Attachment(s) Oh and Guinness ate $120 and let me this.... |
My Milo will take anything he can get that is not tied down. Lol. The tv remote, cell phones, panties, bras, socks, a $20 bill one day and shoes etc. if left out. He's not picky. Since we got Milo 2 years ago my kids 22 & 19 have learned to keep things picked up a lot better. I do like that but now I'm having to play a lot of chase :) |
