I see we all feel the same way about pet stores. Unfortunately I dont think they are ever going to go away because there are so many people who probably feel they are safe buying from a store. Instead of all of us just chatting about how we feel we should all try to solve the problem as least to some extent. I think we need to maybe start some sort of huge online petition to send to our legislators and tell them we are not going to stand for the mistreatment of these animals. If petshops are to exist they need to be regulated more and some major changes need to be made. They need to house the dogs in a better and bigger pen,on vets,handlers to play walk and socialize these poor puppies,etc... I dont know maybe it's to much to take on but I'm sure with all of us being huge animal lovers we can come up with something. what do you guys think? I know call me crazy :p . I guess we just need to something done to educate everyone on how these byb abuse dogs just to make a quick buck. If anyone has any ideas i would sure be willing to help or do something. sue |

lol im with you stewies mom. WE go get some black clothes and ski masks, and let them out. seriuosly though I am going to see who we need to contact about trying to make sricter laws. The way I see it is, if petshops are going to keep in buisness then maybe we can make sure the puppies are at least kept in better more appropiate conditions. |

oh that is awesome stewies mom. I have never done anything like this before we need to know what proceedures to go through and what kind of paper work we need. I will send you my email and phone number via private message. Who knows maybe we can actually get something done :D . If anyone knows about or has any suggestions lets hear them!!!! Also maybe we can start a petition and everyone passes around or put it up at petsmart and petco and vets offices. It could work. |
We just need to find a legislator (I have one in mind) and get him/her to sponsor a bill regulating this type of thing. |
Imagine This!!!! Most Pet Stores Open At 10:00 am And Close At 9:00 pm, So From 9:00 pm To 10:00 am................. No Human Contact!!! No Food!!!! Maybe Water!!!! :unlove: It Should Be A Law!!!. Here Is My First Idea For "NEW Pet Store Laws" 1. Puppies Most Have 24 Hour Supervision WHEN TWO OR MORE PUPPIES ARE ON THE PROPERTY.. :animal-sm Let's Come Up With A List. |
Your 100%percent right that is way to long without any contact. I also think daily excercise is a must. an onsite vet to examine these puppies before they can go home. A better gaurantee as to genetic problems. (maybe if they are held to stricter gaurantees they would be more selective from who they buy the puppies from) much bigger pens and no more than one puppy per cage. oh geez I can go on and on and on |
contantly being clean up after those puppies should not be dirty somebody to play with them food water TOYS ! |
Why is it that Petstores don't have toys for the poor puppies to play with in the cages? :confused: |
