My daughter hates it when we "run" into someone like that. I have been give the "evil eye" by her because she KNOWS I will say something. It bothers me she really thinks that her baby is normal |
That is so sad!!! |
I feel so sorry for that pup :( |
I am a little confused on the micro mini thing...so they starve these dogs to make them that small?!? I know that lack of food can stunt a dogs growth because I am fairly certain my Ricky is so small from starvation...but I don't believe they were trying to make him a mini. I think he just had horrible doggie parents. In LA, I bet there are lot's of people who spend way too much money on overpriced, undersized dogs. I wonder if she bought the dog on one of those online puppy brokers who buy their dogs from Korean puppymills. If that's the case, $3500 is relatively cheap compared to some of the prices I've seen. Some of those dogs are going for $8-10,000. I sort of think it's funny that she was trying to brag about it because buying a puppy like that is SOOO not something I would brag about or be proud of...she doesn't even realize that she got totally scammed and ripped off. It's sort of like bragging about your designer purse that's a total fake...or bragging about your hot boyfriend who's a felon with a prisoner number...when you think you've ended up with the total prize, but what really you've won is the booby prize....that's what I equate her bragging to. I guess in a way, maybe it's a good thing that little puppy ended up with her. If she paid $3500 for it, chances are, she's got the money to throw down on all of it's various health issues as well. |
This is so sad :( I wonder how long it will take before people realize how much those doggies suffer. |

I do know for a fact that not only do they breed the runts to get small pups, but they then take them from the moms and only give them enough nutrients just to keep them alive. I know because Gizmo was one breeders failed experiment in doing this, and he was extremely close to death. By the time I got him in my hands and the 20 mins it took to get to the vet, he was in a coma, a hypoglycemic coma from being starved and having absolutely no blood sugar reading they could even gauge on the test. His gums were pure white :-( it took me 36 hours of high glucose treatments every hour around the clock before he finally started coming too. I could feel every bone in his tiny little body. The vet had told me if he had gone an hour longer, he would have been dead, and she was about 90% sure he would not live through the night. She even asked me if I wanted to humanly euthanize him, because if he did survive, it would effect him for the rest of his life. She is totally amazed now that just a few months later, he now weighs 4 lbs :-) of course we don't know what damage it did internally but we are hoping he will stay healthy now, and were willing to what ever it takes to keep him as healthy as we can. He only weighed 1 lb 4 Ozs when we rescued him. Not nly could you feel all his bones, but he lost one of his upper adult canines and most of his hair fell out do to no nutrients going to those places. Here are a few examples of how people sell them here in SoCal . Micro Love - Micro Tiny Teacup Yorkie puppies for sale in Palmda Teacup Yorkies, Teacup Puppies for Sale, Yorkies for Sale, 954-324-0149 It's really sad that these people are able to conduct business this way :-( it just makes me sick. |

Hugging my porkie yorkie even closer tonight. I can't imagine someone purposely starving a dog to make them appear smaller. :unlove: |

What was she doing taking a little thing so fragile to a dog park, he doesn't sound at all happy, and you should have put poop on her face. I'm with the rest of them on this not cool |

proves once again there is fool born every hour. Here she paid $3,500 and does not even seem upset by the pup's health. Did she say what she did about his liver shunt, did she have the operation for him. I wonder if she feels the same way about paying vet bills as she did about the purchase price, chance are she cuts corners with vet costs. I know lots of people like the tiny frail look, personally I am happy I don't. I gravitate toward the standard size between 5-7 lbs and sturdy so you can play with them. People have been messing with yorkie colors, she may have bought the pup as a Blond yorkie, I know someone that has a white one, and several that have chocolate colored yorkies. And the saddest thing of all is, since their are fools like her wanting undersized yorkies people will continue to breed them and then charge more. |
