| Return from Camp Dogwood If anyone wants to have a great time with their dogs and alot of different activities to do with your dogs try a camp. We went to Camp Dogwood in northern Illinois and the dogs got to try.....K9 nosework, barn hunt, agility, tracking, dog treat making, canine massage, Doga (yoga with your dog), canine core conditioning, grooming secrets, ask the vet and lots of walking in the woods. I wanted to try lure coursing but wasn't sure if Molly would keep on running into the woods. There were alot of different activities that we didn't try because we ran out of time. The big winner was a 7 lb. Yorkie named Tank that pulled 25 pounds in the Weight Pull. A doberman pulled 475 pounds and could have pulled more but I had to leave to go to another activity. If you ever get a chance to go to a camp like this, please go...you won't be sorry. We slept together, ate together and played together. That is my kind of vacation and my dogs loved it.

| This sounds really fun. A great reward for our loved friends. Very worth it to the owner as well.

I went with 2 friends so we had a total of 5 dogs - 1 Golden - 2 Afghan Hounds and 2 Yorkies. I had never seen lure coursing but got to see the 2 Afghan Hounds do it and it was amazing how fast they run. I met people from Canada, Nebraska, Alabama, Vermont and those were the only people I met.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I'm jealous! I can certainly understand the difficulty in getting pictures while all that is going on. I've always wondered how a Yorkie would react to lure coursing. Maybe next time!

| Brit, go on www.campdogwood.com and you can see how neat it was. The lady from Vermont I talked to said there is a camp like this somewhere in VT. I can't remember the name of the camp but it is held at a college and the campers stay in dorm rooms on campus.

He did fantastic in Barn Hunt. Found the rat in 17 seconds. But he wasn't super amped about it, more curious and "down to business".

Melanie, there is something just like that near you in the Bershires in MA It's called Camp Unleashed, some of my NY yorkie friends went there the end of the summer and love it. Camp Unleashed Home This sounds like something Lola would love, how is it having little dogs mixed in with the big dogs? I don't let Lola off leash in less we are in a contained area, so even though she would love it it worries me, especially since she does not respond well when called to come.
