Just don't leave her in the crate alone for that length of time, you will be training her to go pee inside the crate. At that age they can't hold it much longer than an hour during the day, so an xpen with pee pads is great. I didn't put the crate inside the play area, you can, but I just used a bed, toy, food, water and pee pads. |
Just checked out their site, thanks again !! I'm fairly new to Yorkie world, but I've heard nothing but great things about the Durrer line !! I'm sure you're going to love your new buddy !! Stephan |
A puppy playpen or cage large enough to hold a bed, potty pads in a secure frame, and dishes would the safest thing to use for your pup. A small pup needs a restricted area so they won't wander too far from the potty. Make sure you leave some safe toys for the pup to play with while you are gone. Some people have used the bathroom with a secure puppy gate for this purpose but the room has to be totally puppy proofed in order for that plan to work. No carpeting or any bathroom items on the floor. A gate that the puppy can't climb is a must. |
