My first thought was def Morkie - maltese/yorkie. Seen mixes very similar! She is very cute. |

:) Congrats on your new addition to the family. I just saw your video of her playing with her new toy, how totally Adorable!! When seeing her on that video my fist impression was that she was not full Yorkie. Than when I saw her little tail curled up on her back and how fluffy she was it sort of verified my suspicion that she is more than likely mixed with something, a black and tan Pomeranian would be my guess. She is very cute and spunky that is for sure. |

I didn't get her from a breeder. Or at least, I didn't think I did. Turns out the lady I got her from is probably some byb. She told me she was pure yorkie The vet tech during her first round of shots said he thought she was full yorkie, maybe a grandparent wasn't. But he said she looks all yorkie to him, besides the white, that is. I guess we'll just see! Her hair's starting to poof out a bit more. Can't wait until it grows! |
Looks like a Yorkie puppy to me. I read and have the Gordon/Bennett book that is said to be quoted here and seem to recall the white on toes remark from reading it. I suppose if white can be on toes of puppies, it can extend to cover the foot. Correct Yorkshire Terrier Coat Ajjls Yorkies |

Looks as if she might be in that tri-color classification. |
With the rough start Cherry had and the great save you made, she could be purple and I don't think you or anyone else would care. I think she looks more yorkie than anything else, but I have decided that nothing but a dna test will make me believe anything. I know a lot of folks question the validity of the DNA tests, but I feel like it is the most reliable thing out there at this time. They only go back 3 generations right now, but as more are tested, the accuracy will improve. I love seeing pics as Cherry grows! She has at least 3-4 more color changes ahead to look forward to. |

Haha, it's true!! She had us all wrapped around her little paw within a day or two, and we're more and more enamored with her every day! Thank you for your kind words. We did get off to a rough start, but we care so much about this little one. All we want is for her to be healthy and happy. :heart to I may do a DNA test, but I'd probably do one on my other dog first, as her mix has had me puzzled for years!! I can't wait to see the changes to her coat. I can already see some silver or maybe tan on her head at the roots. |
She's cute, but she definitely looks mixed to me. She looks almost identical to my Scarlett at that age who is most likely Maltese/Yorkie and 15 pounds. She had very similar markings. |
My Gizmo according to my vet is a standard yorkie, with a parti gene mixed in somewhere down the line because he has all 4 little paws with a bit of white at the ends, but she also said its possible for that white to turn to tan as there is so little of it, and that he's still too young yet to tell. The only thing I notice in the pics is that the fur on his feet looks quite sleek and short, where gizmos is long and silky. I'm going to watch the video of your cherry. Oh Gizmo also has his whole tail and its straight with no curling up. |

I'd love to see some pictures of Scarlett! |
K I watched the video and her tail definitely is different in the way it goes up over her back. gizmos goes straight out or straight up but doesn't have that curve. She's totally adorable :-) |
From googling, she does look a lot like a morkie. Do morgues change color like yorkies? Would that also explain her curled up tail? |
