I went to Maui/Hawaii for two weeks in February when Sissy was 6 months old. She stayed one week each with two different friends who spoiled her like crazy. I called EVERY day to check on her and took photos with me to post on the fridge and carry in my purse. I couldn't wait to see her again - it was the only reason I came home!! P.S. I never did this with my skin children... |
2 days once when my business flooded and we were working 24/7 to get things up and running...she stayed with my mom. Normally, 8 hours plus drive time, never gone away without her. |
10 days....we left Zoe and her 3 puppies to go on a family vacation in florida...unfortunately it was planned befor Zoe got pregnant and if we werent going with another couple I would have cancelled it It was the hardest thing I ever had to do I think. I counted down the days then the hours till I could be back with Zoe and the babies. Even though they were in good hands with the neighbors (who also have 3 yorkies) it was still hard....never again! |
About 9 hours - working away from home all day. Boy, was I glad to get back home that evening! My wife is at home all day, so Bailey hadn't been alone, but when I came in the front door she came flying to me at her absolute top speed. I said then and I say it now - THAT's why people get dogs! They love us sooooooo much it's hard to even deal with sometimes. |
when i just had scampi and he was 3 i went away for 2 weeks but i was told he was so upset he didnt eat for 4 days and sat by the front door for 2 weeks, i was really upset no one told me till i got back as if i had of known i would of come home, i never left him again and he lived another 12 years, ive never left the others but im going away for a weekend next month and will be leaving them with my sister as they are not as clingy as scampi was so should be ok. |
When I go on my cruise in August, I will be away from my poo poo head for 10 days!!! :eek: :( But, my uncle will take good care of her. He has a dog, and Psilo and Baby LOVE each other!!!! Thank God they are both fixed! :thumbup: |
About 4-5 hours or so and I can\'t stand it when I\'m away from her for that long! No way I could be away from her for longer! I miss her so much when we\'re apart.:( |
In October we are going to Orlando for 14 days and that will be the longest. We take short 3 or 4 day mini vacations all the time. |
The longest I have ever left anyone of my babies is about 8hours, and that is only twice in twenty years. On average it is only a trip to the grocery or once a week for 3 hours while I bowl. Other than that I want them with me or I don\'t go! |
I was away from Reagan for about 5 days. Well 10 days but I came home in the middle on the weekend. She was left with my inlaws. This coming weekend she\'s being boarded, at the vet\'s, from Friday til Monday. I\'m not so worried because they oh and ah over her everytime she goes in so I know they will give her plenty of attention. |

My hubby and I have left Kobe twice both for 1 week. He stayed at my parents house and my kids were their also. Kobe loves my dad so it was a treat for him. We have never left Kali for more then 2 hours. If we go on vacation now our kids are grown and they would keep the furbabies for us. |
I\'m addicted to Jax! So the longest time I have been away from Jax is about 5 hours when we left him at the house to got to Itchetucknee Springs State Park and float down the river. It was very relaxing, but about once an hour I would turn to my boyfriend and ask, "What do you think my love is doing right now?" I missed him terribly! :love: :cry: :love: |
