I believe that have milk supplement at Petco in the medicine section. |
OMG what a cutie. Shame on who ever left him behind. He is way too young to be pitched out on his own. That's how I got my little Yorkie-Poo...lost/abandoned and very young, too...and freezing cold in mid winter. Goats milk would work, I've used organic half and half for lost and tiny furry babies, too, and you could make a slurry with a little canned puppy food mixed in for now. Bless you for taking care of this baby. |
At 8 weeks, they can eat dry puppy kibbles like Royal Canin. If the puppy is eating, then just water to drink is fine. And have some nutracal or karo syrup on hand in case of an episode of hypoglycemia. |
This is one of those sad, angry, but good feel kind of story. I'm sad such a young puppy was abandoned. Angry that someone would do such a thing. But then... thankful that there are people that care enough to take the puppy in to give him the care that's needed. Thank you to the trucker that brought the puppy in... And thank you MandiesMom and your boss for taking care of him. |
I do not know how i missed this. I am so glad that someone is taking him home. That poor little one. I don't understand why people abandon their pets. Thanks for taking care of this little one. |
How sad. I hope everything went well with puppy today. I would do wet dog food or kibble mixed with water. |

Oh goodness....poor little thing. I will never understand some people!!! Will your boss be keeping it? Is it male or female? It would be hard for me not to have kept it myself. :) Can't wait to get an update in the morning. |
Updating...my boss lady (and good friend) called. Her vet said he appears somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks and seems in good health. He recommended mixing some wet puppy food with kibble. She said he ate good when they got home and she picked up some goats milk just in case. He drank water out of a little dish when he was at work with us and ate a bit. He peed several times in the office and pooped once...looked good...not runny or anything. The family has officially named him, against my advice...drumroll... Pork Chop lol |

sad what some people do. You wonder if they do similar to their skin kids. Hopefully someone will give him a great forever home. Could be this pup was stolen way to young to be out own it's own |
