Nope and Nope...keep looking and keep asking we are her for ya! |
Excellent Read Quote:
Excellent read for anyone making a new puppy purchase! Occasionally new owners are mislead by the AKC label. This guide provides excellent information that most new buyers need to know to prevent future problems. Thanks for sharing! |
Trust me, in our area (the East Coast), there are PLENTY of great breeders. Your best bet is to visit the breeder of choice. The YTCA chapters in NY & NJ list some wonderful breeders. And I can tell you from experience, that several of the YTCA breeders don't have the fanciest websites - they DO have beautiful dogs, however. Good luck. |
We've told you what to avoid, but maybe it would help to show you what a great breeder and their contract looks like. This person is one of my favorite breeders here on YT. Her dogs are beautiful and most importantly, she stands behind the health of them. IMO, she goes above and beyond. Yorkie Health Guarantee Amazing Yorkies - AKC Yorkie Show Breeder - Show Prospects or Quality Pets ETA: I'm not ignoring the other great breeders on here (you know who you are). I just think that Deb's contract is one of the most straightforward and easiest for new owners to try and understand what we are telling people to look for. |
If your looking for a TRUE reputable breeder. Here and Ytca is a great start. Most people here actually do want the best for you and the puppy. I'm no PRO. But I will tell you right now I wouldn't purchase from either. The 1st one cant spell correctly. If you want to call yourself reputable. The 1st step is to seem reputable. 2nd one tells you your puppy kit includes clothes. Yes I will have my babies dressed up. But 1st things first include me with REAL tools that will help me take care of my baby. I think that's just the beginning to how I feel about that. How can you pick if the owner approves of their baby wearing clothes. Some don't. That's just basic. If we cant get past the 1st thoughts coming off great. I automatically check em off my list and keep on investigating. This may be a timely process. Especially if your as picky as you should be. So that we may help you better. Here's some ?s we can use to lead you the right direction. Where are you located? Do you have a vet already picked out.? NEVER let your baby come home before 12 weeks. That is one of the most selfish things the buyer and breeder can do. Some circumstances such as rescue etc. Are permittable but no breeder that truly cares for her pups will EVER allow letting go before 12 weeks. Please ask ?s we are here so that we can make sure you have many healthy years with the perfect pup for you.! |
