Once you do wash & dry yours, you will love how it puffs right back up and is like new again. Tibbe loved it after I shook his out, too, when it was all big and tall.

Mine is faux fur, and i wash it on delicate cycle with warm water, then dry on permanent press. Never had a problem. Comes out like new!

Sucess!!!! Our Cloud 9 is a giant fluffy perfection again. Just need a clean puppy to match. ;)

I totally get it about the antique washing machine. I used to have one of those until I got married. Luckily my hubby came with a newer washer and dryer. ;)

I totally relate to your washing machine walking and bouncing around. We had one like that and drove me insane. It would even walk off the ledge in the basement and make a terrible racket. It finally gave up and went to washing machine heaven. Our newer washing machine has not had one problem washing the Cloud beds so there is future hope!

When my old machine finally, finally gives up the ghost, there is hope! Can't believe the same machine that washed our clothing when I was a kid is still working for me and mother and daddy gone, my brother working with Indian treaties for the gas company in a southwestern state and I'm essentially retired now. Hard to believe the old "girl" still going, still working, hardly has EVER broken down!

I have never had a problem washing mine. I wash two at the same time and then put them in the dryer and they come out so very nice.

Yes, I bought it from YHR. Loved that bed. It let Tibbe lay up high off floor and still have lots of "nesting" material to dig around on. Soft as a cloud, too!
Have you tried maybe washing a bed pillow with it? I dont have one yet, but I'm sure that is what I will use.

It's an old machine so just a little afraid to wash too many big things together in it. Towels are about my limit for it and that scared me. My towels are so big and heavy they carry a lot of size and weight but I never could get just the right amount in there to offset the size and weight of that wet polyfill ball so the spin cycle wasn't scary for breaking. Oh, well.

I gave the bed to a rescue who I am sure has nice, modern machines for washing their dogs' beds and no doubt the dogs there are getting some very good use out of it. Tibbe did search for it for days after it was gone, though. We kept it up against the front of the couch in the den and he could sleep on it and still be near me here on the couch. I stacked pillows there but he wasn't as happy with them and wouldn't use them at all, finally gave up on sleeping there after he'd go to get on his Cloud 9 bed and just saw pillows instead. I got a lot of stinkeye looks for taking his favorite bed! Thankfully he finally adjusted to it not being there and let up on checking for it, glaring at me! :eek:
