Thank goodness you reacted quickly and were able to help your precious Jada. Thinking of the fear both of you felt just breaks my heart. I am so grateful that Jada is okay. |

So So true !!!!! When I rescued Gizmo 2 weeks and just did a walk in because he was so close to dying, going into a coma, and my vet who has been treating our families pets for over 30 years, took him right in and got to work immediately to save him. They then gave me 5 cans of rx food for him, I high glucose rx syrup, and a tube of nutrical, as well as testing for parvovirus and only charged me $24 !!!!!! I had told him how I came to have gizmo, and he wanted to save the poor malnourished pup as much as I did :-) On his second visit a week later for his first set of shots ........ $14 !!!! Yesterday on his third visit to be dewormed, trim his nails, did tests or skin problems because he was missing some hair and I was worried ( ended up the girl that made him so sick also yanked out his hair with a brush because it was so matted, well after all that...... $19 !!!! My husband asked why every visit was so cheap, as he is an excellent vet who have cared for our animals for years. His answer? Gizmo needs a break plus my husband was getting a fire mans discount lol. He is one truly amazing vet that I have known most of my life, and he has treated for us everything from horses to baby bunnies :-) he has known me all my life, and knew even from a child I have always saved any animal I can, so he feels happy to help me :-) Gizmo has truly touched everyone, and he is so loved. Where would we be with out such wonderful doctors there for our babies xoxo |

Thank you Jenni, You never know when you will need it. It always better to be prepared just in case. |
How scary, hope all is well. As I'm reading this, I look up and Bella is chewing on a small piece of plastic. Geez! |
Michele omg...I'm so glad everything is ok... |
What a scary experience for both you and Jada! So glad that she is alright. :) |
wow, so glad Jada is ok I would of been a wreck. You were so smart bringing her straight to the vet. |
So glad that your little Jada is okay. Know the fear that comes with gobblers. I've gone the grinding-up-kibble route. That can be scary, too, if it is not mixed up with a liquid. Rosie, my little Yorkie who just passed, choked on kibble that had been put into a chopper. Luckily, she threw up. Since then I have always mixed ground/chopped kibble with a liquid. Chipper, another Yorkie, had a bad experience choking on small kibble after he was used to larger kibble. He still gobbled it causing him to choke. I'm blessed that he also threw up. These little Yorkie creatures sure have a way of keeping us on our toes. ~Joanne~ |
Omg Michelle. Sorry to hear. Glad the beauty is okay Hugs to you and the pack. :) |
Oh wow!!! I'm just now seeing this. I can't even imagine what you went thru emotionally, Michelle. I am soooo happy you acted quickly and Jada is ok!! Give her hugs and kisses from me and Mandie. |

Wow, how scary Michelle! I am so glad to hear that Jada is okay... It's a good thing you acted so quickly! |
dog You are a hero for saving her life by quickly getting her to the vet! Good decision. I feed my dogs Blue Buffalo and I bouigh JoJo a bag of food for toy breeds and the kibble was really tiny. Just a thought. I hope you can get small kibble or something so she will never choke again. What a nightmare that was and I am so glad she is fine. You Too! Need a day off shopping after that incident! |
oh wow... I was afraid to read this thread at first. I am so glad the jada baby is ok and you are a hero!! |
