I got Zoey a year after Magnus. Yes.. it's twice the work and money but honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. They do bring twice as much joy. :) Congrats on your future furbie(s)! :D |
If you can't take both, then I would go with the one that you feel a connection with. When I went to the breeders to get my previous yorkie, I had my heart set on a female. I had no intention of getting a male that day, but the minute I laid eyes on my little Barkley, I fell in love. I'm afraid you might regret it if you pass him up. |
@Taylor and Barkleylove so true! I'm happy my breeder is willing to hold onto him til weds so I can be absolutely sure |
I had my heart set on a female dog also! The litter I was waiting for produced 2 males. At first I was crushed. (I'm ashamed to say it, but I cried.) My grown SON said mom why don't you go look at the puppies, why wouldn't you want a boy? HA! I did. And I visited them every week. One cuddled up to me about week three and I had made my choice. I have never regretted getting Copper. He is 3 1/2 and the most awesome little yorkie. He is very attached to me. My husband says, "He LIKES me, but he LOVES you." It is true and I love it!! Take the male!:):aimeeyork |
I can't wait to see what you decide! Post pictures!! |
Go with your heart.:) I also went to a breeder only interested in females. But in my case it wasn't because that's what I was used to. It was because I had met both male and female yorkies and Was looking for a specific personality more common in female yorkies. |
1 Attachment(s) Just figured how to resize lol here he is! |
Aww, he wants you! |
Wow he is way to cute oh my goodness |
Regardless of what you "think" you wanted, this adorable little boy has chosen you. How can you possibly ignore that? He wants you and he's putting on his best show to win your heart. Go with it. Then... convince your DH to get the girl too..:D:D:D I love multiples and especially my lil sibling pair. |

@MauiGirl he's 12 weeks today he's just on the small side weighing in at 20 oz. The breeder is taking both of them for their shots tomorrow and is keeping them to see how they react then I can pick up Weds |
Awww. He is gorgeous, I too was set on getting a girl yorkie but my boy picked me out and I couldn't imagine not having him now...he is so sweet..a true mamas boy.....go with what your heart tells you!!! |

Your heart is trying to tell your mind what to do...listen to it and get the boy. I have never been disappointed in my boys and I'm guessing you won't be either. Talk to your husband, you both need to be on the same page with this. Hope you come up with a solution that will be the right thing for all of you. |
I love my little boy :) go with your gut! |
Oh that boy's a doll! But I don't think the name "Bluetini" fits him! |
I too was looking for a girl...but the second I seen Enzo it was love at 1st sight! He's the most amazing little man, full of personality & loves his cuddles. No regrets here :)Your heart has already decided :) |
@dolly Blutini definitely wouldn't fit lol. I'm going to be a nervous mess yesterday I was getting my house "ready". I shampooed the floors, rearranged our rooms...to my husband's surprise, and even cleaned our walls. Talk about overkill hehehe. I've already set up the xpen connected it to the crate and hooked the carseat in my car. I guess I can clean my furniture today and our fridge and check out my flowers???? I do not want to have to do any of those things the first day or five after bringing my puppy home!:jump28ib: |
Oh, he is just adorable! I can tell you're going to be a great mommy to this little guy. Even though he's 12 weeks old you still need to watch out for hypoglycemia. Your breeder may have already advised you, but please get some Nutrical to have on hand in case of low blood sugar. Are you bringing your husband with you to pick him up? Maybe the little girl will win over his heart and you can take them both LOL! |
He's ADORABLE! How could you possibly go home without him? |
1 Attachment(s) I love my Gracie Ruth, but I'll admit, my boys have a very special place in my heart. The are so snuggly and sweet. As for your husband... Attachment 390545 It's always easier to ask for forgiveness then permission.:p |
dog I said no more male dogs. Well my friend knew a Yorkie breeder and I saw and fell in love with JoJo. Husband calls him a homewrecker. He does chew on stuff and once in awhile pee when he gets mad. He is a very lovable dog and I wouldn't give him up. He has a sweet personality and he is the dog that came to me. Follow your heart. I have two male Yorkies and love em both! |
Rhett is definitely my boy. I, too, wanted a girl at first. But the second we saw Rhett we were hooked. Don't get me wrong, I love Scarlett, but she's definitely a daddy's girl. |
Tomorrow's the big day, right? Good luck, just do what you feel is the right thing to do, either way I'm sure you'll be thrilled with your new baby and you'll be a great mom. I personally am a one yorkie at a time kinda person, but if you can do it, get them both. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow... |
No wonder you can't resist him. Go with your heart. Then you will never be sorry with your choice. Once my babies are mine, I fall so hopelessly in love with them, so much that I couldn't imagine loving another one as much. I've loved each of my girls for different reasons, but I loved them each so deeply and never would have wanted another one other than them. I've always had girls, but I hear such wonderful things about boys, especially with their moms. You'll know tomorrow when you go to the breeder who to choose. I wish you could get both because I believe it's so much nicer for them to grow up with siblings. I had three little girls, all within a year of each other, that I raised together, and it was amazing. Having two wasn't much more difficult than having one. It's definitely more expensive, but they love you and give you lots of attention, but they also play with each other. It's so great for their health and happiness, and it's so much fun for both you and them. My former breeder asked us to take a third little girl who she held back to breed her. She fell in love with this tiny, beautiful puppy, and she kept her, hoping she would grow bigger. Fortunately for us, Gracie stayed very small--too small to breed, so our former breeder placed her with us at no charge. She loved that baby, and she wanted to ensure that she would be in a home that she would be protected, cared for, and adored. My three girls brought so much happiness, love, and life to our home. They are now all at the Rainbow Bridge together again. I hope tomorrow is everything you hope it will be and that you come home with your baby or babies of your dreams. |
Today is gotcha day! Can't wait for pics! I know you will make the choice that is right for you! |
