Excellent! Wow, you ARE a GREAT parent. I knew you were by the way you planned everything out for Pixie way in advance. That's great to hear about Katie. Teachers REALLY appreciate the fact that SOME parents actually work with their kids. Besides, they use those children as examples to the other children...it's a great motivation for those OTHER children who may be afraid to take a risk. Her name is Katie...my youngest grandbaby is named Katie. The oldest is Sabrina and the middle is Nathan. We have a lot in common! I stayed home today with my babies. I caulked all around the floor in their room (which is next to the outside part of the house) so NO air could come in and the caulk STILL isn't dry. Not taking any chances of them eating any of it. After it dries. I'll cover it so they still can't get to it. Man, it sure helped!! That room is the same temp now as the rest of the house. |
Yay!!! 6 more days!!! I so wish I could come to KC to meet you! But the hubby says no. :rolleyes: Maybe some day I can talk him into a trip to CA! :p Or maybe you want to come & sight see in Kansas! HAHAHA!! :D I have 55 more days until March 1st! That's just an estimate, since she just said at the 1st of March is when they should be ready! I've been checking out all the girly clothes everywhere! I can't wait!! :D |
Jessica! 55 more days! Woo Hoo!!!! I only have 5 more! he he he..... 55 Will fly! You will be amazed! Have you made that paper chain??? lol You should see what I found for you! Its awesome, but I'm not telling! Boy your girl will be set in 55 days! thats lots of time to shop! :p Brenda... Katie is a great kid... I am really blessed! And its because of teachers like you that I am as good with her as I am... I always tohought I would teach... but it never happened, I had kids early instead... But I can teach mine! Its fun and I really do want the best for her. Reading is the most important subject IMO. If you can't read well as a young adult, your education stops... they don't read self help or how to books, instructions for product use, looking up info online.. The learning just stops... its sad. Even math, being mostly numbers requires reading! Most instructions are very wordy, and ones ability to comprehend is key! As you can tell, my spelling sucks! Combine that with the fact that I am a two finger speed typer! My posts are awefull... I took band in the fifth grade... it was mon, wed and fri... during spelling! lol I got to take make up tests! out of the 25 words assigned we were only tested on 10. My friend would save the list for me so I could study it over the weekend.... so every week I missed learning 15 core words! It was the worst shortcut I have ever taken, and has cursed me for life! I still struggle with easy words, but am great with harder ones! Its very sad! I did call the school years later and make them aware of this... as I really saw it as a flaw in the program. I hope they changed it. So we have caulk drying, Jessica planning, and me waiting! What next??? I am ready for Pixie to be home!!! Oh great news.... I spoke with the trainer last night! Pixie starts on the 16th! and she is awesome! She is also a CGC trainer! And gives the tests! I am so excited! She also is part of a group who does conformation classes! Soon I will have pixie in school as much as Katie! lol How exciting is that? I really am looking forward to working with her! It will be a blast! |
Jessica!!!! I Love The Sweater! OMG...I was SO surprised with the mail today. Thank you BUNCHES! I brought it in the house and opened it in front of Deuce. He went crazy over the smell and started rubbing his body all over. Silly boy. Then, Sadie did the same thing!!! Soon,they were fighting over it! Good Grief!! I had to hang it up on the coat rack with his other one. I so wish I had a setup like Kathryn! I just love that floor hanger she has to hang Pixie's clothes on! OH>>>>Kathryn! That was a great story. I'm glad you called later and informed them. I've NO DOUBT you'd make a great teacher..such insight. And PLEASE do not EVER worry about spelling. I make gobs of mistakes b/c I type so fast and reverse letters sometimes. Funny, you skipped out on spelling, ...I skipped out on Algebra. Now THAT really hurt be in college! I had to take 1)Beginning Alg, (for 0 credit), 2)Intermediate Alg, and 3) College Algebra..just to get my Algebra requirement met for my Bachelor's!!! Then is was on to Geometric Structures, Statistics and on .....I'm SOOOO glad those days are over. But you know what? I started college at age 34...I felt really strange at first b/c it seemed everyone else was getting younger (which they were), and I was getting older. But after the first year, I WAS HOOKED. I still haven't stopped going. I do think this will be my last year tho,..I owe more in student loans than I paid for my house and land!!!! OUCH. Thank you so much again, Jessica.. Your very welcome!! Now Deuce & Sadie know what Lucky smells like so when we get together they will already like him!! And yes I still plan on getting a girl from Pam. I should hopefully be putting a deposit on her around the 1st of Feb & then get her around the 1st of March. Aghhh...the waiting! But when I come down there to put a deposit on her we must get together! Again...so glad you liked the sweater! Although they haven't needed it very much this winter! It's going to be 70 degrees here on Saturday! That's crazy!! |
Jessica.... guess what I know.... ohhhh Jessica! I talked to Pam just now! he he he..... I have an inside scoop for you!!! But you'll have to PM me for it!!!!! Ha ha ha! Brenda.... How are ya??? only 4 days to go!!! I am so ready! I will be so dead when I roll into town! I work 9am till 9pm on Monday and then drive right to the airport so I can catch a 12:30am flight out! Yikes! I land at 7 something in the Am in Kansas City! And thats with the quick 45 min layover and plane change in Chicago. Ugh! I don't know if I will be able to sleep! I will be too excited! I so plan on drugging myself! I will NEED the zzzzzz's! I wish you two were able to meet me :( But Brenda has school... and its a long trip for Jessica. Heck, even Pam is driving in the night before and getting a hotel room! Yikes! I feel so bad for her! But really.... way to go! Above and Beyond service! I am so pleased! I feel so good about her! I am truely blessed to have found her! |

ohhhhhhhhh Jessica!!!! OHHH Jessica, I RECEIVED THE CUTE CLOTHES IN THE MAIL!!! It was too kool! Deuce put his little fleece coat on and LOVED it...he ran around in it and Sadie chased him trying to smell it! Then, I went to put Sadie's pink shirt on her and OH MY!!!!!!!!!!! She threw a big fit and got away from me! I don't think she's EVER worn clothes before. She is 6 months old now. I'm going to keep trying tho! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Have you got a name picked out for your girl yet? Wow....poor Kathryn, isn't there some way you can NOT work before you head to KC? You will be so stressed. I don't want you to get sick!! HEY>>>>>>>>>>What's the inside scoop anyway????? |
