WOW. I love everything you got. I love the pen set up too. She can be right in the middle of everything that is happening. Pixie is going to be on spoiled girl. I love that Yorkie Leash hanger. Where did you get that? I have to have one. I have harnesses and leashes laying around everywhere. Good luck waiting till delivery day and rest up cause you'll have some sleepless nights. :p |
Looks like you are well prepped, I just have a suggestion. The carpeting is going to get ruined under your ex-pen unless you protect it with a barrier of some sort. I usually recommend setting up on a hard surface floor (kitchen, laundry etc). Don't rely on the pee-pads...they can shred and drag those around very easily. You can try a large piece of the heavy plastic carpet runners (Home Depot sells them on a roll, cut to size) with pee-pad on top to absorb messes. I use the washable pish pad (www.pishpad.com)and highly recommend them. They don't shift and can't be shredded. Good luck with your new baby. |
You dont even have her yet and you have all of that stuff? LOL too funny. What a wonderful mommy you are going to make. It's great your so prepared! :) |

I've got that "Covered" too! 1 Attachment(s) I have really thought of everything! lol I am so proud of myself! he he he I intend to do the same thing I did for under my African Greys cage, I use a thick (hotel quality) Clear shower curtian under his cage. It catches everything and has saved the brand new carpet for sure! Its large enough to cover the area under her x-pen. I have also orderd ihe indicator pads from www.PiddlePads.com which are not the disposable ones, they are the three layer pad with the extra indicator layer on top to show you when "the deed" is done. And I got 12 for the price of two pish pads.. Actually, less, they were $48.00 for 12! maybe the Pish Pads are somehow better? I don't know, but I have read some amazing reviews on here about the Piddle Pads, and they give free shipping! They will be here any day now! The only stuff I am waiting on is the Pads, and her Celltei carrier. I am ready to go! Jessica! I have a puppy shower present for you! I think Lucy is an awesome name! And I am pretty sure that Brenda named her new girl Cassie! Here is a picture of Cassie teaching a thing or two to Deuce! |
Pics from Brendas Visit! 4 Attachment(s) Here are the pictures that Brenda took for me when she visited Pam! And yes! Thats Brenda with pixie! |
Oh My Gosh !!!! Kathryn!! I absolutely LOVE everything you have for her. She is going to be ROTTEN!!!! I wish I had more $$ to buy Deuce and Sadie Ann more things. Poor Deuce..he only has that one sweater and Sadie Ann has NOTHING. But they do have run of the whole house and a GIANT crate to share when it's nappy time. Oh, You MUST make them take naps. I'm warning you. They will wear themselves out and get run down. I'm not sure if the little crate inside the xpen will be big enough for Pixie though...she's bigger than Deuce and growing all the time. They do love to curl up ...especially if it's on your lap. I took lots more pics of Sadie Ann and Deuce. I sent the best ones of Deuce to red98vett..(i think) and she's going to make my avatar with them. I also sent her a pic of Deuce's sire..have some of his dam, just not sent yet. How do you post the pics, Kathryn?....where you posted those of Pixie and Deuce? |

First I had to cut the file down to like 30% of its size, your digital is taking Monster size PICS! My hubby says that you can set the file size in the cameras menu settings somehow, see user guide... Then everytime you post if you scroll down you will find "Additional Options" and the second one is attach files, just click on Manage attachments and then, browse, PIC your file, and then you have to hit the upload button, then clear the screen and hit "submit reply" The file just has to be smaller than 200.0KB and that pick you sent me of Deuce and Cassie was 648.6KB, you would have to resize it before you could post it.. I hope I made sense.... As for her crate... here is a bit on why I have a small crate... For anyone who is trying to pick out a new crate for their puppy... It will be big enough for her to "comfortably" stand, turn around, and lay down in even at 7 lbs if by chance she eats some mega dog vitamins and gets that big! lol Thats all she needs, her crate is only for sleeping and resting in. she will not eat in it, drink in it, or potty in it. I crate train 100%. Any time I leave, she is in the crate, if we are home, which is like 80% of the day, someone is almost always home, she will have roam of the x-pen, not the house. I am pretty strict on this... I have crate trained a few dogs now and am a firm believer in it! I have had nothing but success with it! Sure it is not east to crate train at first, its hard! But if you stick to your guns, you will be thankful for the rest of your dogs life! And your dog will thank you too! Every time it has to be boarded, or goes to the vet and has to stay for any length of time. Your vet will not give them run of his clinic, he will crate them. And it is much less stressful for your dog if they are used to being crated, they will feel more secure! I had dog owners fight over who "got" to dog sit for me cause my dog was crate trained! They new that is they left for a couple of hours that their house would not be in shambles, that they would not have an accident on their pretty white carpet, that they did not have to worry about something happening to my dog, cause he was tucked safely in his crate, where he loved being once he was fully trained. It takes time, but its worth it! The key in House training can be the crate if you choose this method. If its too big they can go on one side, and lay on the other where it is dry... this really does not help you at all.. even more so if you keep a blanket in there, they can go, it gets sucked up by the blanket, and they just wad it up in the corner and stay dry. But if its just the right size, they cant pee and keep dry, they will not go where they sleep! they don't want to be covered in pee! Its wet and cold! so unless you leave them in there too long, they will wait till you let them out! And then you can show them where to go... Not fool proof, it takes a lot of work, but it works if you keep on it! |
Online Puppy Showers! I say we just do them here! Online Puppy Showers! Set dates for the homecomming! and then send out our packages with that date in mind! I am so game! What do you think? I'm in northern, but shhhhh don't tell anyone! I might be headed for southern real soon! I was born in Palm Springs and lived there for 28 years. I moved to Petaluma, just outside of San Francisco, almost 3 years ago. My Grandmothers house is for sale and we are thinking of buying it! Its not in good shape, but hubby is a Gen Contractor and we think that in 3 months he han have it totally gutted and rebuilt. I am so excited! I hope it works out! But not getting my hopes up... Part of me will be sad to leave beautiful northern California... but my hubby son lives down there and my son is only 2 hours away in San Deigo. It would be a great move for all three kids! Once they are in College... we can do whatever we want! But for now its a good idea to be close, we have missed so much these last three years! Its sad really! Jessica! So when are you looking to get your girl? I need a time frame for this puppy shower! I've got some planning to do! Lucy.... I really like that name! We need to make up for Brendas two as well! I think that Deuce needs some duds! lol I have my eye on a couple of things! BRENDA! Post sizes of your two! PRONTO! And what you would prefer, adult or puppy stuff??? Puppy stuff is cute now, but adult you get more use out of... so if adult, give me an aprox weight to work with! |
