| Another car seat question, need a stable one We have a snoozer lookout. Maggie loves it. She can put her feet up on the front or sides to stand and lookout. The sides bend just a little but it's ok and she generally puts here feet on the window ledge. Maggie is pushing 11 pounds (hates to walk in the summer and I think she's gained!). When she was little we had one of those seats that hangs from the headrest. It was either this Outward Hound http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...AvailInUS%2FNo or one very similar. The straps were attached near the front of the seat. She used to love to go in the car, but always seemed nervous in the seat. I finally figured out that it just didn't feel stable to her. I think the bottom maybe had too much give and no stability, and when she would stand with her feet on the front the whole front would sag down. I got the snoozer and she loved it. Now I need a seat that is portable enough to travel in my suitcase on a plane. We are using Spirit airlines, so it's a big charge to carry her Snoozer onboard. I thought of getting the Solvit Tagalong or something like it, but I wonder if they are any better than the Outward hounds that she didn't like. I wanted to try the solvit on-seat version, but the company advised me that it is hard to dis-assemble once put together, and it sounded bulky even dis-assembled. Thanks for any input on a hanging (foldable) seat that is also stable. Last edited by maggiefromnj; 08-12-2013 at 01:33 PM. |

| Sorry, I don't have a foldable car seat to recommend. I just take my tether that buckles into a seat belt with me when I travel by air, as it's easy to pack. The pup isn't boosted up to see out, but is at least restrained in the car.

| Thats a good option to keep in mind. I should probably get a tether for emergencies since sometimes the snoozer is in hubby's car at work with him. I will try out some hanging ones but was hoping someone has knowledge of which sway less and have sides that stay up. I have time before we go. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I have the Solvit Tagalong Deluxe Booster Seat in large. It is wonderful. I keep it in my car all the time. It folds flat. You can put it in a suitcase. Tagalong™ Deluxe Booster Dog Seat
