Thanks. | I hope I can help with this as I have a parti boy. Actually, the parti is the markings as ststed by the AKC. Partis have a basic white coat with distinct patches of other colors, frequently if not usually, 2. That makes them tri-colors as well. So a parti will be registered by AKC this way..the colors will be one of the standard 4 colors or whatever other they allow. The markings column will say Parti. As I read this, it might not clear it up after all. I sent pics of Remi to AKC along with the usual paperwork and a letter stating that I knew his ancestors for several generations and requested that they register him as a parti. It took a few weeks but he is registered. The adult pic in my avatar is a pic of Remi taken last year..he still has the colors as they are in the pic.
